  1. I don't see a question but I just read and loved your story - well really, tease of a story! Sometimes chemistry just pops between characters and you've got that here!

  2. Thanks Natasha. The questions were at the bottom of the post. What supernatural creature do you like to read about and/or do you read f/f erotica? What do you like or want to see more of.

    Happy Sci Spanks!

  3. (w) Ooo magical spanks? I don't read much f/f fiction, but your blurbs and that excerpts is making me reconsider! Thank you so much for sharing! This sounds like a great forthcoming book. If I could be a supernatural creature I think I'd like to be a healer of some sort, like a spell or rune caster with an affinity for plants

  4. Supernatural creature=shifters or witches mostly. F/F is awesome, everyone needs to give it a shot. I'd like to see mainstream F/F myself. oliviastarke@ymail.com

  5. Wow Erzabet...this is story is great. To answer your questions...Regarding supernatural characters, I enjoy stories about witches, vampires and shape-shifters. I had never read F/F until I started following Ana and I loved the way she draws you in to the emotions of her characters...have now started reading other F/F. Thanks for sharing.

    Blessings...

  6. I read about almost any supernatural creature, but I don't normally choose to read f/f erotica.

  7. I tend toward shape shifters, but I've recently become enamored of books where main characters are nulls -- immune to magic to the point they temporarily make magical beings human when within a certain range.

I do read lesbian and f/f fiction and erotica. I'd like to see more complex and unique relationships that involve mixed gender identities and fluid sexual orientations. I always take recommendations. :)

Looking forward to more of your work in Rising Sun.

  8. I liked shifters a lot especially wolves and large cats. I an not so fond of incubus or that genre of supernatural. Really, really liked your story can't wait for the full novel to come out. Thanks.

  9. This was terrific. I love weres, vamps, demons and scaries from hell. In fact, I love all supernatural creatures. The first time I really read anything f/f was when Ana had the Hop this past winter. I really don't know what I want to see in a f/f story as everything seems new to me at this point. Thanks for taking part in the Hop. laurah2727@yahoo.com. VIP

  14. Wow! Red moon rising, I can't wait! I think that my favorite to read about is wolves, I have always had an obsession with the werewolf lore and I love it when authors include it into their stories. Thanks for sharing this Erzabet, I really enjoyed reading it! Hopefully someday we can work together! Thecoverartisan@gmail.com

  15. You have an excellent way of 'building' a story. I loved what I read and hope to read more of your books. They all sound intriguing. And I adore stories about witches.

  16. I love shifter stories. Wolves are probably my favorite animal, though were tigers and lions are fun to consider. Your opening and beginning chapter are so Intriguing, Erzabet. I love stories with inherent magic, and your excerpt raises a lot of questions readers look to get answered. Nicely done!

  17. I still love vampire stories. Good ones. I like wolf shifters, too. <3 I enjoyed reading your excerpt--loved all the little details in your writing. :) W Kerry a vail (at) gmail (dot) com

  18. I'm a fan of witchcraft myself. Although other supernatural characters are okay - in supporting roles anyway. :-) That, along with the murder mystery/police procedural plot had me hooed from the start. I can't wait for the rest.

As for erotica, I like most of it. I believe in the sliding scale theory of sexuality, rather than the either/or school. So I enjoy stories where some of the characters are sexually . . . flexible. But that's just me.

  19. I don't have a strong preference for one supernatural creature over another. I love them all....well, except for zombies.
I have to admit that as far as my erotica reading has gone, I have not read anything that was strictly f/f so I can't honestly give my opinion on the second question.

  20. I am dying to know what is going to happen next, great excerpt! I have to say I had not read F/F fiction before I read one by Ana which I loved! So now I read it quite frequently because for me it is about a great story, written well and not about the gender of the couple involved.

  22. Love this, Erzabet, but I'm curious about the attitude. I wonder what else, besides what you've written here, has led up to the anger and resentment? I can feel the characters almost seeming helpless, but we still get tension/action. An intriguing mixture!

  23. I love to read were romances especially when there are were human combinations..

  24. Such lovely imagery. You did so well building the pace, and the smile at the end is perfect!

  25. Love to read about Dragons, Djinn and Valkyries the most but I love all supernaturals. I haven't read much f/f but I do absolutely love the Kate Kane series by Alexis Hall which if f/f.

  26. I really like reading about shapeshifters. They tend to be my go to when picking a paranormal book. I don't read much f/f stories, but if more stories are like this snippet I may have to look into them.
I really want to know why Devi left her coven, and will Kendall make it. The suspense is killing me.

  34. I wonder what's in the silver tube... I have not read stories on supernatural creatures, so I can't comment on that, and I have only just started on f/f fiction. I guess what I like about f/f fiction is that it helps me understand myself, the people around me and other things relating to relationships that people around me might not be able to explain to me :) Thank you for your story!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Let's see, favorite creature - dragons, definitely.
Concerning f/f - I've tried it once or twice, but it's not really my cup of tea. But I liked your snippet - maybe I need to give it another go.

  36. Love all kinds of supernatural creatures. i guess if i had to have a fave it would be shifters and out of them, dragons and cats. The only F/F i've read is in SciSpanks. Different :) would read more

  39. I am insanely attracted to paranormal erotica that features demons. But, demons, dragon, demigods--the three D's--they're all good. And I sure wouldn't throw a werewolf out of my bed for eating crackers, either. :)

Your story was very well done, and for some odd reason I've just been stricken by the near irresistible urge to pull out my cross stitch and get to work on it.
