Bearly Breathing

Shy socialite Breanna is used to being overlooked, minimized, and ignored. She’s grown up in the suffocating household of her old-money parents and done her best to please them. Even her musical talent failed to do that, so she agreed to marry a man of their choosing in a last desperate bid to win their approval. Just weeks before the wedding, she runs away, knowing she can’t marry someone she doesn’t love. As she flees to her friend in Canada, she wrecks her car in the mountains. Rafe, the man who rescues her, is a bear-shifter wintering in his cabin. Snowed in together, the passion flares between them, and he soon realizes she is his mate. To keep him, Breanna will have to accept all of him—and stand up for her right to make her own decisions.

Steamy Excerpt:
Slowly, she plodded through the snow until she came around the side of the cabin and froze. The sight that greeted her made her gasp softly. He stood in front of her in profile, stripped down to nothing but jeans, snow boots, and work gloves. The sheen of sweat made his bronzed skin glimmer even without much sunlight filtering through the overcast sky. Every muscle was exquisitely detailed and so perfect that any artist would have wept with gratitude to be able to sculpt or paint him.
She longed to be able to kiss him or run her fingers over his smooth expanse of flesh. Her panties were soaking wet in no time, and she was embarrassed both by her arousal and her inability to look away.
Suddenly, he froze, lifting his head. In a peculiar fashion, he drew in a deep breath before his head turned and his gaze locked directly onto her. She shivered under the force of the intense expression. Was she imagining that dark hunger in his eyes? She didn’t think so, but she was too timid to approach him to find out. Instead, she stayed where she was and nervously called out, “I just wanted to make sure you’re okay. You’ve been gone a while.”
“I’m fine.” He swung the heavy maul and wedged it into the large stump he used for chopping. The lithe motion made her gasp, and a new wave of desire flooded through her. She’d never seen anything so magnificent in her life as this man doing something so simple as cutting wood. Breanna realized she was holding her breath as it left her in a ragged exhalation when he turned to walk toward her.
There was purposefulness in his posture, and the way he held himself revealed determination and perhaps something else—something a little feral or wild. A tinge of fear made her spine tingle, but that was obliterated when he reached her, his hands fastening around her arms as he pulled her close.
Before she had a chance to question his actions, or ask what he was doing, his mouth was over hers. He didn’t kiss gently or sweetly. He marked and branded, kissing her thoroughly and deeply, as though determined to memorize every bit of her mouth.
After a second’s hesitation, passion she had never known spread through her, and she was eagerly returning his kisses with the same intensity. She was feeling rather wild herself, and she shoved back the voice of reason trying to admonish her behavior. It sounded too much like Estelle Dawson, and she was in no mood to have her mother ruin this experience.
Breanna lost track of how long they stood in the snow, mouths devouring each other. At some point, he backed her against the wall of the cabin, and she was vaguely aware of the rustic logs pressing against her back through the fabric of her coat and his flannel shirt. It was a minor discomfort, and she was easily able to block it out when his hands roamed over her body.

While those of a supernatural inclination aren’t exactly rare, they have had to be careful and keep their population down. Alexa is the woman for him the only one he could ever want or need. And when her life is put in danger by his own past Kurt won’t stop until everyone understands to get to this tiger’s mate, they’ll have to get through him.

Author Doris O’Connor

1.       What do you love about alpha males?
The single minded purpose with which they go after what they want, especially when they’re shifters and sense their mate.  *happy sigh*
2.       What makes a perfect mate in your opinion?
Someone who loves you unconditionally, quirks and all. He’s your best friend, has a great sense of humor, and you couldn’t imagine your life without him.
3.       Name your favorite place for a getaway after a day of writing.
A long dog walk with hubby.
4.       Sushi or burgers?
Burgers *turns green at the mere mention of Sushi*
5.       Plotter or pantster?
Pantster, through and through. I never know what’s going to happen, and I’ve long since learned to listen to my characters. They are always right!

Author Amber Morgan

1. What do you love about alpha males?
I like their strength of will – whatever the goal is, they go for it 100%, and that intensity is sexy to me! A man who will fight for what he wants is a man I feel I can put my trust in.
2. What makes a perfect mate in your opinion?
Someone you have that mental synchronicity with – you might have different tastes and opinions, but on the fundamental things that matter, you  are in perfect harmony!
3. Name your favorite place for a getaway after a day of writing.
A nice hot bath with scented bubble bath and a good book is the ideal for me.
4. Sushi or burgers?
5. Plotter or pantster?
Pantster – I usually know how my stories will start and end, but everything in between is a surprise for me, and that's how I like it.

 Author Moira Callahan

1. What do you love about alpha males?  They know what they want, and they won’t stop until they get it.
2. What makes a perfect mate in your opinion?  Someone who has a strong sense of who they are, are well read, must have a sense of humor, and absolutely must understand sarcasm. And if they can cook all the better.
3. Name your favorite place for a getaway after a day of writing.  Out on my balcony with a beverage, and a book by one of my favorite authors.
4. Sushi or burgers?  Both, but I will admit to a serious love of red meat.
5. Plotter or pantster?  A little of both. I usually plot to a point, but if my characters throw me a curveball I’m usually willing to play it out to see where it might lead. Some of my best twists have come from going blindly along with my characters insanity.

Author Nicola Cameron

1. What do you love about alpha males?
The air of assuredness without being an asshole. A gentle alpha male knows he’s in control and doesn’t have to flap about making sure that everyone else knows – if they don’t, they’ll figure it out soon enough. And if they still don’t know, he doesn’t really care. He’s very secure in himself, which is incredibly sexy.
2. What makes a perfect mate in your opinion?
The ability to make you laugh. There’s only so much sex you can have in a day, a job can be lost when an employer decides to shift positions overseas, and everyone gets wrinkly in the end. But if you can sit there and laugh like a drain while your mate channels (in my husband’s case) John Cleese, you know you’ve got a keeper.
3. Name your favorite place for a getaway after a day of writing.
The movies, usually. It’s nice to be able to turn off the writer brain and just enjoy someone else’s work for a change.
4. Sushi or burgers?
Ooh, make it difficult for me. It really depends on how I’m feeling at the moment – sometimes I will cheerfully climb over people to get to a good crab roll, and other times all I want is a Whataburger.
5. Plotter or pantster?
I started off as a pantster, but as I get more and more into novels and novel series I find that I have to be a plotter because something that happens in Act One will have a major effect in Act Three (or Book One in Book Three). The nice thing about working the plot out beforehand is that you know you don’t have to stick to it if you don’t want to – it’s a guideline, not a tram track. And it makes writing the synopsis much, much easier when it comes time to submit the book.

Miami Inferno

A Wounded Temptress Angelina Rugiero loved Lorenzo Delgado with a budding woman’s passion, until he broke her heart. Now she has the life she always dreamed of, or so she thought.

A Determined Man Lorenzo has loved Angel for years. He knew that he had to wait for her to grow up. With one thoughtless act on the night of her eighteenth birthday, he destroyed all hopes of a future, leaving him devastated….and determined to make things right.

A Love That Can’t Be Denied As Angel goes home to Miami one last time, Lorenzo realizes this is his opportunity to prove his love. Can they have the life they’d always wanted together, or will a man bent on revenge destroy their happily ever after before it begins? Amazon US: Amazon UK: ARE: miamiinfernoteaser2
“Is there anyone else who wants to step up as my partner? Going once, going twice, and sold to the…” Angel stopped.
“Sorry, boys, this one’s mine,” Lorenzo said, speaking into the microphone and wrapping his arm around her waist as he tossed the mic back.
The DJ immediately began playing a latin number. His mother always said he’d danced in the womb for nine months, and came out ready to go. Lorenzo could believe it, too. He loved music, the way the beat pounded through the room making people move with it. To him, dancing was like making love to a beautiful woman. All you had to do was listen to the music, whether it was a fast song with instruments, or a sweet woman’s voice. You only had to move your body and guide them with a strong hand.
Angelina danced her body close to his as soon as the song started, and then moved away. Her breasts scorched him through the thin material of his designer shirt. Her hand fit inside his larger one, her head barely reached his shoulders even in her extremely tall, fuck me heels. There were no other words for the things on her feet. She wouldn’t meet his eyes, just looked over his shoulder, giving him a blank smile while pretending to get into the right position.
He yanked her body flush with his, feeling all her soft parts fit his harder planes, making him even more aware of their differences.
Moving them farther across the dance floor, away from prying eyes, he led them in a dance so sensual, so erotic, his pants became too tight. Her breathing was labored and her skin looked flushed. He was glad to not be the only one affected.
Hard to believe he’d dreamed of dancing with her on that fateful night five years ago. Even harder to believe was the reality was so much better than the dream. Only now he didn’t feel like a pervert.
She was not his sister, nor was she a child anymore. When her eyes still avoided his, he exerted more pressure on her back. Their bodies touched and stayed connected. With his other hand, he tilted her chin up, forcing her to meet his eyes or close her own. Either way, she had to acknowledge him.
Her body trembled in his embrace, not in fear he was sure. Turning them around, he inserted his leg between her thighs, and subtly rubbed back and forth. His palm slid down her back, fingers curving to fit her rear, while his thumb rested at the top of her shorts, stroking the silky skin beneath the tank.
Her pulse visibly jerked at his touch. She licked her lips, like her mouth had gone dry. His dark eyes finally connected with her emerald green irises and held, her pupils dilated, glowing like tiny chips of green fire.
His own flared with desire and carnal heat. Lorenzo wanted her more than he’d ever wanted another, and that was saying a lot.
Their bodies undulated, mimicking what he’d like to do with her, sans clothes. Her moves matched his, and upped him every time. With her face still held in his hand, he examined every inch of her beautiful features, committing them to memory. After what seemed like an eternity of scrutiny, he dipped his head, covered her shiny mouth with his and kissed her passionately. His tongue slipped inside her mouth, tasting, savoring the sweetness and heat within.
Angelina shuddered, and heat exploded in his groin, coursing through his blood.
His tongue licked the inside of her lower lip, teeth nipped at the corner of her mouth and he felt her surrender. He drew her tongue into his mouth, sucking the tip, the suction tight and rhythmic, reminding him of sex. He pictured his body thrusting into hers, her back arched, hips tilted, her body fitted to his. The vision so erotic he began to sweat, and still he kissed her.
When the song ended, he relinquished his hold on her face, his knee still parting her thighs, pressing up against her flesh. She was hot, surely wet, and so responsive. He gazed down into her green orbs for a long moment, stroking her flushed cheek with the back of his hand, feeling the warmth of her skin. “I plan to claim what’s mine,” he stated simply.
For a moment, she allowed her body to relax into him. He savored the feel of her soft, toned body. And then she withdrew. Even more shocking was the sense of loss he felt, his heart ached, he wanted more, needed more.
He let her move back, saw her inhale, exhale, and inhale again. Her breath escaped in a whoosh of air, hitting his chest with the warm air.
“I’m not a prize to be had, Lorenzo. You’d do best to remember that.”
“That’s where you’re wrong, baby.”
She narrowed her eyes like she was picturing him in a Chinese torture chamber. He thought of many ways they could both torment the other, and all of them involved a naked Angel, and him equally naked.
She turned on her heels, ass swaying so enticingly in the snug leather he whistled. Her long black hair swung around, followed by an angry look directed at him. With short, loud stomps, Angel marched back to where he stood. He contained the grin his lips wanted to do. Sparring with the little spitfire verbally, made him hotter than ever.

Author Bio I’m a wife and mother who is a retired stay at home mom of 2. I say retired because my youngest is 14 and my oldest is 20. When my baby went to school, reading saved my sanity, and then the same year he started school, I was diagnosed with Cancer, again reading saved my sanity. When I recovered and realized how quickly life could change, I made a bucket list. The number one thing was to live. Check. On top of that list was to become a published author. Check. Eight years later I have accomplished that goal and several others. I live in the Midwest, but I”m a southern girl with only a slight twang who says y’all quite frequently, and am known to say “Bless Your Heart” A LOT. If you know what that means, you do not want to be the one I say that to, lol. I cuss worse than if a trucker and a sailor were put together, but I do it with class *WEG*. I write what I love to read, erotic romance. My books are definitely full of lots of story, but I leave nothing to the imagination in or out of the bedroom. My hope is that after readers have read one of my stories, they fall in love with the characters as much as I have. The best part of my new journey is that I get to create new worlds, and have all kinds of stories in my head just waiting to be written. I truly love to hear from readers. You can find me on Twitter, Facebook or my webside, but I’m on Facebook ALL the time, so find me. I’d love to hear from you J

Erun: The Ujal

He’s an Ujal who knows he’ll never have a mate. She’s a human who doesn’t want to take another chance on love. One small child doesn’t give them a choice.

With her toddler in tow, Vanessa Walker travels to Tampa, Florida to begin her new job at Ujal Station Tau. Then problems arise—her daughter is ill, and a sexy, demanding, overwhelming, purple-scaled Ujal is determined to do whatever he can to save Tabitha. When they realize Tabby isn’t ill, she’s Ujal, plenty of people don’t want Vanessa raising her newly tail-sporting alien daughter. Ujal royalty may support her, but only one person—one Ujal male—makes her feel safe: Erun fa Arex.

Erun fa Arex earned his position through blood, sweat, and scales with a trident as his constant companion. On Earth, he is the captain of the principessa’s elite guard, a worthy Ujal warrior matched by few. On Ujal, he grew up as a child slave forced to fight for sport and others’ pleasure. Fighting left physical and mental scars while the master’s growth-hormone injections left him unable to father younglings.

Erun never considered mating and having a family of his own until he meets Vanessa and Tabitha. Now he realizes everything he rejected—a mate and family—is exactly what he desires. And he will fight to keep them… to the death.

Part of the UJAL series:
The Ujal Volume One (Vados, Tave, Rhal)

Erun is a genetically altered Ujal who knows he will never have a mate. Nessa is a mother trying to keep up with her toddler when their worlds collide. Each learns something about the other and discovers a love hidden underneath gruff exteriors and preconceptions. Especially with Nessa's daughter Tabby added into the equation.

What I liked about this book:

The drive of each of the characters to do the best for Tabitha. She was a real part of the story and it was easy to fall in love with all of them.

The merman alien thing really worked once I got past the culture differences and was able to grasp what the Ujal race was like. And the humor! The play on words using the culture differences was great and made me snicker more than once into my coffee.

What I didn't:

Getting past Erun's initial introduction took me a minute and I didn't much see how he and Nessa were ever going to connect. All he did was accuse her of being an unfit mother and that was a tough one.

The immediacy of emergency room care and life threatening issues resolving themselves.

This book was very entertaining and I kept coming back to it whenever I had a free moment. Despite the minor two issues I had, this was an addictive read with characters that you grow to love and want to know more about. A warrior brought to his knees for the love of a child. What's not to love about that?

5/5 Awesome. Sexy. Fun.

Merle and I huddled together on the bench in the 52nd story roof garden of the New Sears Building where we worked. Even here, talking was risky. There were certainly cameras, but mikes were less likely out in the open.

“I’ve been saving. How much do you think it will cost?”

Merle named a figure four times what I had squirreled away.

“Gads, Merle! It’s not gold!”

“No, it’s more valuable than gold. What do you expect? People will pay almost anything for the forbidden.”

I blinked and looked away, not wanting her to see my incipient tears. After a few deep breaths, I thought I could continue the conversation without embarrassing myself. My friend wasn’t fooled.

“You really want this, don’t you, Lena?”

“More than anything.” It was true. I’d been experimenting on my own trying to reverse the effects of the government’s anti-sex interventions, with no success at all.

No one knew exactly how the drugs were delivered. I went two days eating nothing, drinking only rainwater gathered on our unit’s balcony. The fact that Jeff traveled so much for his job had made it easier. I just waited until he was away on one of his trips. Then, physically weak but determined, I hacked through the net filters to one of the most notorious underground porn sites, hosted, according to Merle, in Kazakhstan.

Nothing. I felt nothing. I watched the contortions of the naked bodies, the penetrations and the climaxes, and felt no desire, only a vague, painful sense of loss.

I was second generation post-Plague. I knew the history, but I didn’t remember the Troubles: the millions of deaths, the riots, the massacres of homosexuals and prostitutes. None of it seemed real to me.

When the Council had introduced its libido-suppression program to stem the spread of the virus, most people were enthusiastically in favor. Now it had become second nature. Society ran perfectly smoothly without the lubricant of lust. But I resented it. I wanted to know what I was missing.

X Rated Excerpt

Before I could think or resist, we had climbed the three steps to the platform, which was furnished with a mattress and a couple of chairs. A spotlight clicked on in a corner, temporarily blinding me. Bolt stood behind me, his arms circling my body. He kneaded my breasts while he worked the crowd. I struggled not to faint from the sensation of his fingers digging into my flesh.

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Club Lust. Tonight we have a special treat, a newcomer enjoying her first taste of freedom.” He gripped the bottom of my jersey and pulled it over my head in one deft motion.

All eyes in the room turned to my suddenly bare chest. The heat of their attention brought a flush to my cheeks. My nipples contracted into throbbing bullets of needy flesh. Bolt pinched and twisted them, far rougher than Jeff had ever been. Liquid gushed from my cunt as though he’d turned on a faucet.

“Such fine, round, bouncy tits. Just looking at them makes me want to rub my cock in between them until I come all over her face. Don’t you all agree?” The crowd murmured its assent. I don’t know what excited me more, his words or the fact that simultaneously, he’d unzipped my skirt and pulled it down to my ankles. Underneath I wore the red bikini briefs that had come with our last booster pack. They were soaked.

Bolt’s hand dropped from my breast to cup my pubis. I shivered. My cunt clenched at the indirect stimulation as he brushed his palm over the wiry hair underneath the pseudo-silk. My clit swelled, hot, demanding. I arched my pelvis, pressing my sex more firmly against his hand. He wriggled a finger between my lips, pressing the fabric into my cleft.  Pleasure shimmered through my whole body. Earlobes, lips, fingertips, nipples, clit, toes, all throbbed in time. I heard myself moan.

“Our little slut is very wet,” Bolt gloated. “I think she wants to be fucked. Let’s get a look at her cunt.”

Off the chart sizzingly excerpt

Without hesitation, Jillian rose from the floor and did as he asked. She sat for several minutes before finally hearing the rustle of material. His shirt dropped to the carpet, instantly bringing chills to skitter across her skin and her clit to throb in anticipation. She’d never been so turned on in her life, and the man hadn’t even crossed the room yet. Amazing.

Again, several agonizing minutes passed before she spotted his feet. Breath hitching at the sight of him dropping to his knees in front of her, Jillian tried to control her breathing. He settled on his haunches and spoke in a voice that turned her legs to noodles. She gripped her knees.

“Spread your legs wider. Wider. Yes, like that. Back straight, Jillian. Don’t be afraid to show me how beautiful your breasts are.”

Stuttering pants escaped her lips as his fingers barely scraped across the tips of her nipples. Her eyes latched on to his broad, capable hands returning to rest on his thick thighs.

“Your pussy is beautiful. I’m happy to see that you waxed as I asked. You’re glistening for me as well.” The lowering of his sinful voice pulled her in deeper.

“Do you want me?”

She quickly nodded.

“I can’t hear you.”

“Yes. Very much.”

“Move both of your hands down and spread those pretty, wet lips with your fingers. Show me that you do.”

Fire flooded her belly and shot directly to her throbbing clit the second she spread her labia for him. It was so decadent, forbidden, and craved. She thought she might pass out when he gave his next set of commands.

“Move that pretty ass closer to the edge. I don’t want anything obstructing you. That’s good. Perfect. Lightly rub your clit using the middle finger of your right hand. Hold the lips back with the other. Pleasure yourself, Jillian. Yes, like that. Back straight, don’t slump.”

Feeling her face heat, Jillian tried to relax. She’d never masturbated in front of anyone, not even herself. Anytime she’d gotten herself off, the clandestine activities had been hidden under blankets or sheets. All she’d needed was a quick push so she could release a few miles of tension or finish what Brent hadn’t been able to accomplish. This was far more intense than she could ever imagine. She snapped back to what she was doing when he spoke.

“There’s nothing to be embarrassed or shy about, Jillian. You’re stunning. Keep going until your bud extends and hardens. Very good. So beautiful, Jillian. Ah, can you feel it? The fire is increasing. You’re flowering, and the lips are becoming plumper. Very pretty. No, don’t slow down. Harder. Yes. Wet the pad of your finger with your juices. Push your finger in deeper. Saturate it. Excellent. Stretch the lips wider. I want to see everything. Keep going. More. That feels good, doesn’t it? Especially knowing that I’m watching.”

Hissing through clenched teeth, Jillian was barely able to push out a weak, “Yes,” before catching her breath. Mind swimming from hearing his strong voice carrying absolutely no hesitation, and the increasing inferno blasting through her pussy, Jillian arched her back and began rolling her hips, wishing she had something long, thick, and hard ramming inside of her. Close, so close.
