Cauldron of Tales: Five Witches and Some Sexy Reads

When five witches with wild imaginations get together, the pot boils over with trouble, romance, and sensuality.

In The Devil’s Berries, readers are taken back to Renaissance England where Sabine, facing her last night alive, reveals how the witch really came to be associated with the broomstick. Will her nightly visitor bring her more trouble or will he give her peace?

Cindy can’t decide if she’s Hexed Or Vexed her longtime friend, Killen. All she knows is that one second he was her very manly friend, and the next, he’s a dog. Can her Witchy Group on Facebook help her fix the mess, or will she be burdened with a comical canine companion the rest of her days?

Willow Vance is a poor excuse for a witch, and by some stroke of luck, the six-year-old Past Potion she crafted worked. When the hexed warlock finds out about Willow's curse, he will stop at nothing for her to lift the spell. Willow can run, but does she want to?

Alone for Halloween, Bryn is ready to take some frustrations out on her purple battery-operated toy, but she’s in for a surprise when the Toy Soldier becomes a flesh-and-blood man. Grateful to be free of his plastic curse, Byron will do anything for her...no matter how naughty.

A dance of seduction under The Light of the Moon turns into a night of passion, but will that be enough for Aponi to keep the man of her dreams enchanted? Or will the flame that was ignited die out just as quickly as it sparked?

Danica finds herself confused after a trip to the carnival with her best friend and coworker. She’s been attracted to Lisette for months, but are her feelings really being reciprocated, or was there A Sappho Spell cast in Madame Lilith’s tent?

First Category - Author Questions

1. What inspired the story collection behind Cauldron of Tales?

A bunch of us authors wrote stories for a Halloween antho a publisher had a call out for. While we were eagerly awaiting our contracts, the publisher crashed. These things happen. Well, with only two months to spare and no time to sub elsewhere, we just gathered a few more and put this together instead. Who says you can't brush yourself off and get back up? :) – Sonia Hightower

2. I love the way each of you captured the essence of witchiness with your stories and created a feel all your own. What to you is the most seductive thing about being a witch?

I think her ability to seduce and enthrall a man are what entices me the most. – Nikki Prince

3. If you could be a witch, would you be a good witch, bad witch or
somewhere in between?

I think I would be somewhere in between, but probably closer to the naughty side. I have a sense of humor so if I were a witch, I'd probably make peoples pants fall off in public just so I could have something to laugh about.  – Angelina Rain

A good witch of course! I'd help rid the world of evil. Hehehe - Lorraine

4. What is your favorite witchy book or movie?

Hocus Pocus – Chacelyn Pierce

5. Tell me about the sexiest scene you ever wrote...

I think the sexiest scene I've ever wrote was a voyeur/masturbation scene...from the man's POV. It felt scandalous to me. I had to put myself in a man's body/mind and visualize Maria through her window, dancing, spinning, a breast being revealed... – Sonia Hightower

Second Category - Character questions...

1. What is your favorite spell?

Probably the one that caused a sexy warlock to chase me. – Willow (Past Potion)

2. Broomstick or car?

Car, for sure! The broomstick gives me splinters. – Bryn (Toy Soldier)

3. Book of Shadows tome or iPad?

I'd put the Book of Shadows on my Kindle. – Sappho Spell

I want both. A witch needs to know the old school just as much a she would need to know the new school stuff. – Aponi (The Light of the Moon)

4. If you were going to pick a familiar, what would it be?

Mine would be a cat...a big black one. Original, eh? – Cindy (Hexed or Vexed)

5. Do you have any bewitching recipes you would like to share with the readers?

This is by far my favorite potion, I use it when I'm tired and need a pick me up, or when I'm having a bad day and need a stress reliever. It's so easy, even a non-witch can do it!  Take a coffee filter and put it in the coffee maker. Add some coffee grounds and fresh water, and press the brew button. Once done, add some sugar and cream and your magic potion is ready to drink! – Bryn (Toy Soldier)

Overall:

If you love witchy tales with some heat, then you have to check out this very stirring anthology.

Each story within has a sexy twist on witches. It was really hard to decide what my favorites were. Sonia Hightower's vision of a Sappho spell  at a carnival with an interesting fortune reading session definitely left an impression. So did her foray into where broom riding/ flying came from. That one left me gaping and reading it a second time. *must read* I will never look at my broom the same way again.  The historical witch trial aspect of that piece had me absolutely riveted.

Having a spell placed on a friend and going to an online chat group to fix it was hilarious and very sexy as was the story with the toy soldier who comes to life for some extracurricular activities. Very fun! The toy soldier story took an average household toy and turned it into something very fun to play with. The chat group spell fix it story was great because you have to know there are support groups for everything, so why not witchery?

The seduction scene when a witch tries to seduce her neighbor has some interesting surprises that you won't be anticipating-just be prepared for some smoke and fire when these two get to spell casting.

And not to forget the witch who accidentally cast a revenge spell that kind of worked. Very well actually.  The warlock on the receiving end has some choice words, but not before he has had his wicked way with her. Very saucy and oh so spell binding.

These stories are full of Halloween spirit and are sexy and spicy. Just the thing to read for Halloween!

5/5

This collection is smoking hot and you will want it for your steamy reads e-book shelf. Perfect for a night of frolicking under the moonlight.
