Jolie Marsden has always been one of the boys, but she's dying to show her best friend, Palmer Fontaine, that she's all woman. Good guy Palmer has never wanted to jeopardize their friendship by making a move on Jolie. But now, thanks to a little voodoo and a dash of Mardi Gras Magic, he can hear Jolie's every naughty thought and sets out to make her steamy fantasies an orgasm-inducing reality. Yet he can't help but wonder whether the magic will linger when the carnival is over.
I have two words for this story. Oh my. It was a hot little number filled with the dark mysteries of New Orleans during Mardi Gras with a hint of voodoo thrown in for good measure. Jolie and Palmer have been friends forever and both of them hunger to be more. Neither one has a clue that the other is hot to have nothing between them but air, but that would be too easy. I loved how Palmer got lost and ended up in a Voodoo shop, setting things into motion for a spicy hot Cajun flavored love fest. This is my first read from this author and I am putting her on my must read list. From the first line of the book, I was hooked beyond measure and stayed glued to the book until the end.
Hot sex scenes, mystery, magic and fantasies that really do come true, this smoking hot read makes me hanker for a nice cup of chicory coffee and one of those powdered sugar beignets. Or three. *sigh* I want to read more of Jolie and Palmer and if they have any friends with an itch to scratch, I am so there!
I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
5/5
