The undeniable connection felt romantic, exciting, illicit, forbidden — a conspiracy of lust — making the magnetic attraction feel like destiny.

-->Riley Parker never expected to be swept off her feet and into the bed of a one-night stand. But, she was.
Keenan Basarich had sung to millions of people, women of all ages and admiring men, too. But he never thought in a symphony hall filled with hundreds that only one woman would matter.
But he did.
And tonight, the electric current that tethered them together ignited a smoldering flame of hunger that built until it erupted in waves of billowing sensual explosions.
Their night would leave them wanting more, needing more, trying to extinguish the burning desire that would yield to neither of them as their hunger grew.

Would their desire be all consuming? Could they survive a night of unbridled passion?

Would they even want to survive without the other?

They would never know unless they balanced on the precipice, the abyss, and fell with total abandon into one another’s arms and the steamy night that awaited them.

Excerpt:

She was alone.

The pressure between her legs as she sat nearly catapulted her over the top.

The house lights dimmed yet, unaware, she glowed demurely in the white gown, as if she were unmistakably the main attraction.

Or had a secret.

She stared as he walked onstage.

He was a towering, self-assured giant of a black man, broad-chested and confident, his arms in black opulent leather outstretched as if to embrace the audience.

She felt as though he was embracing her.

His piercing gaze locked irresistibly onto her, in all her radiant purity. His intense black eyes seemed to declare his hunger with mahogany intensity.

Riley couldn’t take her eyes off him.

The opera house erupted with his full bass-baritone harmony. He sang, it seemed to Riley, to only her and she smiled quite involuntarily, opening, encouragingly. Every throaty, reverberating note he released strummed each nerve to her very foundation.

Especially the nerves clustered in a knotted, anxious twist between her legs.

The surrounding atmosphere was elevating, inexplicably electrified, nearly lifting the lamb to the altar.

Riley walked eagerly into the hunger.

That undeniable connection felt romantic, exciting, illicit, forbidden — even though it was not — making the magnetic attraction feel more like destiny.

The lit tether of desire was a burning fuse and she was helpless to resist.

The rest became a foregone shared conclusion — a conspiracy of lust — of mounting excitement and crescendo.

Her pulse raced, heart soared, knees weakened — her flesh tingled with a heightened anticipation of being touched.
Riley’s stomach tied her eagerness into a series of fiery knots.

Her secret folds began to engorge with a mounting fervor.
A burning heat automatically swelled the tender flesh drawing the soft tissue back at the very core of her existence as they grew. Her petulant feminine petals nestled in the protective mound where her thighs kissed. When the movements of soft thighs rub silken panties against the growing, demanding bud, a primal lust accelerates.

Her primal lust accelerated.

There is no denying a woman ignited under those circumstances.  His musical seduction began, and would surely end, she thought, with her in his outstretched arms.

Riley slowly flushed with excitement while her eager response filled and unfolded the protection of the essential pearl of her existence.

She answered his desire with a blush.

She sat through the entire performance held by his gaze. The magnetism she could not resist overtook her fully.

She did not try to resist.

And her response was involuntary yet welcome.

She felt his gaze through her gown caress her, push her, tease her and excite her with every deep vibrato he released into the hall.

When the house lights rose, the fluid embrace of his voice was gradually replaced by the swelling bustle of movement from the exiting audience. She looked to her left and right, then up to the stage beautifully shrouded by long red opulent velvet curtains separating her from the object of the gathered passion in her belly.

Author Spotlight:

Who is Muffy Wilson in her own words?
I am a wife, mother, daughter and sister first and an author of provocative romance about love, sex, hope and passion second. I was born in Texas to traditional parents. With two older brothers, I was the youngest, the family "princess," indulged and pampered. My father was a career Colonel and pilot in the U.S. Air Force which required our family to travel extensively. I spent my formative years in Europe and 'came of age' in France (a state of affairs that gave my father much cause for concern one loooong summer on the Italian Riviera!) which forged my joie de vivre and love for books, writing and education. I liked Aldo a lot then too.

What is one thing you would like the world to remember you for?
I am a simple person. I would like to be remembered as a good person, loving wife and nurturing mother. I never met a stranger nor turned anyone away that needed help. And I have tried hard to learn from my mistakes but I am not always successful in that endeavor!

What got you into writing?
An old boyfriend from high school.  We reconnected after all these years and he writes self-help real estate books. And I was selling real estate on the side, so we still had a lot in common. That said, I took a significant departure from self-help to provocative romance.

Are you a full-time author or do you have a day job as well, and if so, what do you do?

When I first started writing fiction in 2010, I was still working but I have since retired and devote most of my free time to writing and anything that will keep me from doing any housework!!

Where do you get your greatest ideas for writing?
My story lines come from people: watching them, listening to them, talking to them about dreams, romance, passions. About their regrets and when they lost their heart. And then, somehow magically, I'll have a dream on one of those many nights I cannot sleep and a story title will come to me. It always starts with the title for me. Always.

What is your ‘Writing Routine’, if any?
I sit in the living room with my husband when he does his crossword puzzles and I write. And write. And write. His questions about clues and comments about the news or a movie go sometimes unanswered when I am in the "zone".

Tell us a saucy/intimate/personal story about yourself.
Well, I was almost 36 when I got married. A child of the 60's I had a very free way of thinking about men. I thought it was healthy--at least for me. Since I worked in a man's business world, I lived my life much as men do when it comes to romance. And when I met the man that would steal my heart, I never looked back.

What are your Top (10?) Writing Tips? Writing Advice?
  1. Never start with a prologue or the weather, but start.
  2. Don’t worry if your first draft is any good; it won’t be. just start.
  3. Write every day, at the same time for the same length of time. Self-disciple is only a routine. But you gotta start…So start.
  4. Write what you would like to read, from your heart. And start.
  5. Allow yourself to change your mind. Change is a reflection of inspiration. A new perspective. But start.
  6. Name your work immediately and give it life, honor, position, credibility, purpose. You’ve started!.
  7. Keep notes of anything favorite or interesting: names, titles, phrases, descriptions, music.
  8. Each new voice requires a new paragraph. If you must, only use “said”. Anything else wastes ink pretentiously. Get started!
  9. Be kind to yourself. Your work may not be great or Nobel material, but it is yours. Accept that your voice will change and evolve, but it is still yours.
  10. There is no secret to writing. But there is an enemy — procrastination. Just start…

Ex-CIA agent Melvin Escabar has sworn to live and die by his honor. Love is a weakness, nothing more. Now he spends his time in the underwater fortress of Aukrabah, working to protect the Bracadytes from the land walkers who will stop at nothing to destroy them. Dubbed “Thrasher" by the Bracadytes, Melvin becomes a blood brother to the giant warriors and would gladly die fighting alongside them. He has no time for love, nor does he want the inconvenient emotion. Until the beautiful Arkadian warrior, Kaspyn, is thrust into his life. Kaspyn is fierce, gorgeous, deliciously deadly… Her very presence threatens to thaw Melvin's icy heart.

As the daughter of a king, the Arkadian princess Kaspyn must adhere to certain rules laid out by her father: never show weakness, die with dignity, and know your enemies. Though the Bracadytes aren’t Kaspyn’s enemies, the humans they consort with are another story altogether. Especially the cocksure Thrasher. His sheer arrogance and dominant ways are enough to set her teeth on edge. Not to mention the human blood that pumps through his veins. No, Kaspyn has no use for the land walker, Melvin Escabar, other than a place to store her blade. But something about him draws her in, disarms her…until he haunts her dreams and every waking thought. All Kaspyn knows is she has to get Melvin Escabar out of her system—or risk losing her heart forever.

"This book was a roller coaster ride of feels for me, featuring all the characters from the previous books! With heart stopping moments that had me gasping and yelling at my kindle!"

1.   When did you start writing?

I’ve enjoyed writing for many moons; since I was a kid. But I didn’t start writing seriously till I was a teenager. I wrote my 1st screenplay in Jr. High and my first vampire romance too.  I read my vampire romance recently and it was terrible! Just trite dialogue and plot holes, but hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? Fast forward into adulthood, I used to find excuses on why I couldn’t write. Always excuses…the sins of being a grown-up. Always think you have more time, right?  When my brother suddenly passed away (also a writer—but with no excuses), I got inspired to complete my stories and stop making excuses. That was 2 years ago and the one positive thing from losing someone so dear to me. Now with 4 completed books, I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! I love to write, because I’m a storyteller. You can ask anyone and they’d tell you.  Water cooler talks ain’t got nothing on me ;)

2.   What makes your stories unique?
Coming from a household and family that’s male majority, I love featuring strong female characters to support the hero. She’s fallible, real and may not always have the right motive, but she can make her own way.  It’s a big deal to me since I grew up in a feminist household (believe it or not) There’s a partnership in the best romance stories. When you take two people and have them compliment each other, that’s when you’ve got a good thing in the works.  My heroine can’t be strong all the time—that’s when she needs her man to run interference ;)  I think you’ll get a lot of that in my stories. Lots of voids being filled! (that probably came out wrong!)

3.   Is there a common thread that runs through your books?
Being different would be my most common theme in my current stories and in thinking about it; I guess it says a thing or two about me.  I’ve always been a bit different and the best compliment I ever get from my friends is that I take people as they are.  Acceptance (though we don’t like to admit it) is a great feeling. It really matters to us when the people we care about don’t see us in the light we want to be seen in. And in a world where being different is soooo hard, there’s always a story there.  My characters will always be a “freak among the freaks”. Someone a bit off and trying to find their own piece of happiness in a tough world that I create that challenges them to embrace that difference.  Or better yet, their love interest accepting that unique spirit. I hope my readers don’t get tired of that!

4.   If money was of no concern, what would you envision as your perfect lifestyle? (where would you live, what would you do all day, etc.)
Ah…I could see it now.   I’m watching the crystal clear water rush up and crash little cool waves against my feet.  My toes rub across the white sands as I sit under my palapa. In my hand is my Kindle. To my left is my laptop when I get the need to write. Time for another drinky-poo. Where is that cabana boy, I mean, my hubby? I look for a watch, but none exists. What time is it? Who cares? There’s no schedule to keep. Time doesn’t matter here.  What matters is that the sun is warm, the sky is always blue and the Bahama Mamas never stop flowing! Eh, life is good.

5.   Besides writing, what things are you most passionate about?

I’m a HUGE Minecraft fan (if you’re on Xbox, let a girl know) I adore photography and have my wedding photography business on hiatus as I write.  Of course, cooking is a big passion of mine and happy to share some recipes for the foodies out there. I get bored easily, so I have knitting, painting and guitar to mix it up. Polymaths are annoying af, I know!

6.   Not limited to writing, what do you believe to be some of your greatest accomplishments so far?
I would say that my biggest accomplishment is my entrepreneurship.  I love running a business and having the independence to shape the course of it. I can’t say that all of it has gone off without a hitch, but it is those events that made me tougher and ready to face the bigger challenges.  That and publishing my 1st book…those two things felt more awesome than anyone could imagine.

7.   Name a few of your favorites (colors, TV shows, movies, stars, songs, etc.)
·     Favorite color is Purple
·     Always Sunny is my go-to show
·     Horror & Sci-Fi are my favorite movie genres
·     I could probably kick your butt in any film trivia (yes, that’s a challenge)
·     My theme song right now is “Can’t Get Enough of Myself” by Santigold
·     My celebrity boyfriend(s) are Idris Elba and Alexander Dreymon.

·     My celebrity girl crush is Natalie Dormer J

Half-human. Half-vampire. 100% Badass

He motioned to the kitchen. "Are you thirsty?"
Chloë nodded, "Yes, thanks. You should let me be the judge of whether you're interesting or not. C'mon, let's get some fun fact time in. Let me ask you three questions and we'll see what happens."
He groaned in dismay. "I have a feeling this will end badly. I’d rather not."
His uneasiness made her even more intrigued. Just what did he think she was going to ask him? He might not have thought it, but he was interesting. If there was a water cooler in the office, he would be the main topic around it every day. Almost everyone in the district had wondered something about him, and the most they churned about was hearsay and rumors. Having this type of access to him appeared to give her a sort of divine right to find out more about him.
Ethan came back to the sofa with a couple of mugs and handed her one. She felt the warmth of the mug and smiled to herself. He nuked the blood for me. He's so cute, I just wanna punch him in the face! As he sat down next to her, she noticed what his mug read and then looked at hers and smiled. She recognized them almost immediately.
"Oh my gods, I can't believe you still have these!" Chloë held up her mug and pointed to BITE MEwritten with an image of a bite mark on the edge of the mug.
"Why not? They're good mugs." He held up his in a cheers gesture, showing off the BEST BOSS EVER written on his. Chloë had given the two mugs to him last Christmas. They were definitely a gag gift and tacky as hell, but, nevertheless, he couldn't bring himself to throw them out. It had been the first time he’d seen the warmer side of her he’d known she kept hidden from everyone else. Every time Chloë laughed, a piece of him lit up inside. She was infectious, and it felt bizarre yet comforting to have her in his home, curled up on his sofa. He wasn't used to company, but she seemed to fit right in. He took a sip of warm blood from his mug.
"Okay, Hunter. I'll give in because you came clean with me earlier. Three questions about me and I'll answer. That's it."
Chloë scooted to the edge of the sofa, eager to ring off her first question. "Sooo, how old are you really?"
Here we go. Ethan leaned back, "How old do you think I am?"
"Uh-uh." Chloë wagged her finger. "You don't get to turn this into a guessing game. We're talking honest, straight up answers here, boss."
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." He hated to talk age because it often led down a rabbit hole into other questions that could give suspicion as to what he really was. But with a three-question limit, he doubted he was at risk this time.
Chloë sipped from her mug and shrugged. "Try me. 500? 800?"
"Three."
Chloë cocked her head in confusion. "That's all, 300? Ethan, that's not—"
"Three...thousand."
