Ball gowns and bite marks…

Mari Di Bartolo was a witch coming back to her roots in Salem. Juggling work and school, she is a woman on a mission until she is attacked one night after work and left for dead. When Mari is about to step through the veil, she is given a choice-become a vampire or fade away. She chooses life. Nevertheless, it’s not her new Sire that holds Mari’s attention, but the strange and enigmatic Fae with the golden green eyes. Full of mischief and mayhem, the night of the Vampire Ball is upon her and all that glitters may just be her teeth in the moonlight.

Darkness lurks in the shadows…

Fenris is the Captain of the Guard for the Queen of the Dark Court. For centuries he’s secured the barrier between the human world and Faery, part of a Protectorate that keeps humans blissfully ignorant of the beings hidden in their midst. But when another rogue wolf attack brings him to a crime scene, he remembers another girl with long dark hair and eyes that spoke to his soul. On a night filled with wild magic, there will be blood and some of it might just be given willingly.

Excerpt from Sanguine Shadows by Erzabet Bishop

Her eyes widened and her lips parted and he caught a glimpse of fang. “I…didn’t know you cared.”
“If I didn’t, why would I have convinced Roark to turn you?” He tugged her closer, the push of her breasts against his chest making it hard to concentrate on mere words. He’d known she was meant for him from the first second he’d seen her but he had to let Roark take her or risk her dying.
“You don’t know me. I was just a girl on the street. A human not worth your consideration.”
Fenris didn’t miss the hurt in her eyes. Perhaps he had been wrong leaving her alone. He’d been convinced he was right letting her assimilate unhindered into her new life. He also couldn’t fault her reasoning. She was right. They had no claim on one another, only an attraction that blazed to life in the most untenable of situations.
But she was wrong on one account. He had noticed her before-just not in a way he might have acted upon. Human and supernatural interaction was forbidden but he was unable to let her die. Not like that.
He wasn’t able to stop thinking about her and hadn’t since that night.
“I did notice you, witchling. How could I not?” He lifted a finger and traced the side of her face, his cock hardening at the moan that slipped unbidden from her lips. “You burn inside of me. Only I couldn’t act. Not until then. But I had to save you. To do anything else…” He let his voice trail off and watched her reaction.
Mari blinked and reached forward, pressing her lips to his. “It’s like a fire, isn’t it? A fire in the blood.”
“Oh Gods, yes.”

Julia Talbot

Genre: Gay Shifter Romance

Publisher: ARe Books

Date of Publication: March 1, 2016

ISBN: 9781943576661
ASIN: TBD

Word Count: 26000

Book Description:

Sometimes a bear is more than just a bear.

Oscar is a socially awkward bear who's not like the other bear shifters in Colorado. He's a white spirit bear, and he works as a phone psychic. When he decides to try the Grizzly List weekly, he's only looking for a friend, knowing love isn't in the cards for him.

Firefighter Patrick is an outgoing grizzly shifter who's happy to meet Oscar and give him whatever he needs, as long as Oscar doesn't need a mate. Patrick doesn't believe in fated mates.

Can these two teach each other that what they want and what they need aren't the same thing?

ARe    Amazon    Kobo    iTunes

Excerpt:

Oscar couldn’t do this.

He couldn’t.

He stopped on the sidewalk where he could see the grizzly in the coffee shop, waiting. Patrick was… beautiful. Dark and strong and fine and large.

He wasn’t. Not dark or strong or large or fine.

Or brave.

He was whatever the polar opposite of brave was. Cowardly? Stupid scared? Craven? That was it. Craven.

He chuckled, making a lady walking her dog look at him oddly and he ducked his head, backed away. Oscar shifted from foot to foot, trying to decide what to do.

Finally Oscar backed into the shadows where he could see Patrick, but Patrick couldn’t see him, and texted. “I’m sorry. I can’t do this. I’m not brave.”

He watched Patrick pull out his phone, then frown.

Oh, he sucked. “Please don’t frown. I’m not good at new things and I’m just… I’m so sorry and you’re so…” Beautiful. Perfect. Stunning. Sexy. “...fine.”

Patrick didn’t text back. He just hit one button. Oscar’s phone started to ring.

He almost didn’t answer, but that would have been mean and he was a coward, not mean. “Hey.”

“Hey, Oscar.” Patrick didn’t sound angry. That was good, right? “What’s the matter?”

“You’re stunning and I’m stupid?” That was the best answer he had. His heart was racing, going pitter patter.

Patrick looked around. “So you can see me? You’re not stupid. You’re so neat I want to talk with you in person.”

They’d chatted for an hour or more every day.

“I can. I didn’t expect to feel so scared. You’re totally my friend and I just…” He stepped forward, out into the light.

“Hey!” Patrick stood and walked outside, leaving his stuff at the table. “There you are.” The hug Patrick enveloped Oscar in felt like home.

“Oh.” Oscar hummed and hugged right back, all the fear disappearing like a puff of smoke. “Hello.”

“Hi. See, it’s just nerves. Come sit with me.” Patrick shot him a warm, happy grin.

“Yeah. Are there good pastries today?” Patrick was so tall and wide. Oscar felt like a little bear, which he wasn’t. Patrick was just—wow. Large and warm and he smelled so good.

“Mmm. They have maple sticky buns.”

“Oh.” They headed in and the scents amazed him, heavy and heady in his nose. His eyes crossed, and Patrick chuckled.

“Right? It gets huge sometimes.”

“Yeah, exactly. The biggest.” Scents were so important to bears.

“What would you like?” Patrick asked. “I’ll grab it for you.”

“I’d like a cinnamon bun latte and whatever pastry you’re having.” He wanted to taste Patrick’s favorite.

“Cool.” Patrick pressed a hand to his shoulder on the way by, the touch making him tingle.

It was. Cool. It was better than cool. Oscar felt awake and aware, like he was lit up. Like Christmas. He was buzzing hard enough he really didn’t need the coffee.

When it showed up, though, it smelled like pure heaven and he took a sip, loving how the sweet spiciness tasted. The sticky bun looked like heaven on a plate, too.

Patrick sat across from him. “There. Better.”

“I’m sorry, huh? I don’t do this much.”

“No problem. You didn’t run. You told me what you needed. I’m proud.”

Oscar felt his cheeks heat and he ducked his head. “Thanks.”

Review:

I really enjoyed this playful bear romp. The writing was great and really captured some of the spontaneous thoughts and moments between the characters. Oscar and Patrick are just perfect for each other. Good chemistry, cuddles and some hotness!

Fighting for My Billionaire Boss Tour and Giveaway #Infamous #ARe #CynthiaSax

Fighting for my Billionaire Boss
Cynthia Sax

Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance

Date of Publication: February 1, 2016

ISBN: 978-1-943576-59-3

Cover Artist: Erin Dameron Hill

Book Description:

Love is worth the fight.

My boss, Brick Armitage, is one of the most eligible bachelors in the city. He’s handsome, young, and the billionaire CEO of an online company. Brick dates stunning supermodels and famous actresses, the most beautiful women on the planet.

I’m determined to be the next woman he kisses, touches, pleases. To land the man I love, I’ll become the delicate lady he seems to prefer. No cussing. No sprawling over the furniture. No punching the pretty out of Brick’s trash-talking ex.

But when I fail at this and the footage of my brawling goes viral, will I lose my sophisticated billionaire forever, or will he realize a scrapper is exactly who he needs?

Excerpt:

I’m graceful, I tell myself as I weave between the cubicles. A cardboard tray containing breakfast for my boss and myself is balanced on my right palm. Not a drop of the liquid in the ugly brown disposable cups has spilled.

Because I’m a fuckin’ gazelle, the most elegant of the antelopes.

“Morning, Lu,” Chanelle calls out. The women gathered around her repeat the greeting.

I smile and wave. They wave back.

They don’t invite me to join them.

This oversight could be due to my position in the organization. I’m the assistant to Brick Armitage, CEO and founder of the online insurance company we work for. He’s intimidating. I’m his second in command, privy to all of his thoughts and actions.

But the lack of invitation is more likely due to the fact that I’m not a real girl.

Oh, I was born a female and have all of the necessary parts—breasts, small yet still noticeable, an ass, also small, shoulder-length curly brown hair, a dainty, some would say, elfin face. Most men, including my boss, tower over me.

I simply lack the training most girls get.

My mother left when I was three years old, unable to handle my three brothers and me. It was easier for my father to treat me like another boy, dressing me in jeans, taking me to ballgames, teaching me how to fight.

I didn’t give a shit about this when I was younger. I was proud of my rowdy nature, that I could hold my own with my brothers and their friends.

It was when I became interested in boys and they didn’t return my interest, continuing to treat me like one of the guys, that I started to care. Not a lot. But enough to read fashion magazines and watch tutorials on applying makeup.

Then I met Brick, my sexy manwhore of a boss, and that caring was compounded by a zillion times. He captured my heart, although he doesn’t know this. Accustomed to dating ultra-feminine supermodels and famous actresses, he doesn’t see me as a woman.

I’m determined to change his view.

I make a beeline to his office, my pastel blue skirt swirling around my thighs, my heels thumping against the industrial gray carpet.

My boss has his door partially open. I scrunch my forehead. He’s normally not here this early in the morning.

I knock, don’t wait for an answer, and push inside, a smile on my face.

The space smells of his woodsy cologne and him. I breathe deeply, taking that part of him inside of me, and desire unfurls within me, a steady, throbbing need I experience whenever I’m in my billionaire’s presence.

The man himself sits behind his big wooden desk, his head bowed, the overhead lights picking up the ink-blue highlights in his black hair. Brick is clad in his usual dark suit, white shirt, dark tie. He’s frowning down at his tablet screen, his lips as grimly set as always.

My boss is SERIOUS, in all caps, rarely cracking a smile, and the stormy pent-up passion constantly brewing inside him turns me on. I set the tray on his desk. “You beat me into the office this morning.” Usually, I’m first in. “Why are you here so early?”

He lifts his chin, giving me a clear view of his face.

I gasp.

“Fuck.” I gape at him, forgetting my goal of having a cuss-free day. “What the hell happened to you?” I rush around the desk, needing to survey the damage.

Brick swivels his chair to face me. “It’s nothing.”

“It’s not nothing.” I trace the scratches on his left cheek, the red gouges in his perfectly tanned skin. “Who hurt you?” I demand. “Tell me who is responsible for this and I’ll smack that person into the next century.” No one hurts my boss, the man I secretly love, and gets away with it.

“You aren’t smacking anyone, Miss Henderson.” He covers my hand with his, pressing my palm against him. “As you constantly remind me, you’re a lady.”

“Don’t joke about this.” I glare at him.

“You’re right. I shouldn’t joke about it.”

He is seated in his black leather captain’s chair. I stand before him, my hand on his face. His hand is on mine, holding me to him. He’s my boss yet this feels right. I’m meant to be here, to be touching him.

Brick’s gaze lifts and locks with mine. His brown eyes darken with emotion. “There’s something I should tell you.”

“Yes?” I lean toward him. He’ll tell me now that he wants me, that he can’t live without me. Brick will kiss me and touch me and make me his. My thighs graze his parted knees and I tremble, feeling that contact in my soul.

Brick leans forward also. Our lips are a whisper apart. That connection I always feel between us intensifies, pulling us together, linking us in a way that is more than physical, more than intellectual.

His breath wafts against my cheeks. My heart pounds.

Should I kiss him? Should I?

Yes, I’m going to risk—

“Fuck. I can’t do this.” He sighs and releases me.

Damn it. I waited too long and the moment is gone.

Review:

Holy hot sauce, Batman. This book is steamy, and gets right to the tension I always enjoy whenever I ready Cynthia Sax's novels/novellas. I love the interplay between the two main characters. Brick is a man with some layers and Lu is determined to make him see her-as a woman and not just a piece of furniture. I loved this story and can't wait to dive into the rest of this sultry collection of Infamous titles by ARe.

Erzabet Bishop writes short, fast-paced stories that combine action, intrigue, danger and quite often some fun banter too; anything she writes, is definitely worth the read.
From Belinda Ashley
This is a short story that moves very fast. From the very beginning, it sucks you right in and has you holding your breath waiting to see what's lurking around the next turn or coming directly for you.
From Christine Croke (Goodreads)
Five stars! Love it! Full of suspense, romance, and hot, sexy scenes it will have you hooked from the first sentence. The great story will not let go of its hold on you. I can't wait to see if there are any more stories for this wolf pack.
From Peach (Goodreads)
Wolves, a panther, genetic experiments, kidnapping, and a HEA! Seriously this story is packed with so much, but it all works! The story is paced just right for its size and nothing feels too rushed.
From Ameliah Faith (Goodreads)
This was an exciting and fast paced read. I loved the characters and the story line. Ms Bishop paints such lovely pictures with her words really immersing you in the tale. This is a werewolf story you will not want to miss!
From April (Goodreads Reader)
This was a well written short story, that didn't leave the characters too shallow. It also dealt with some topics that most stories don't even come close to. I can't wait for the rest of the series.
From Naughty Beauties Book Blog
I loved the intense build and the rapid fire that flared between the characters. You'll love it too.

Excerpt:
Carrick stood with his back to his second in command, his wolf pacing beneath his skin. He wanted to break the double doors open and bound into the woods rather than face the torment waiting for him in the grounds outside. Women. Hundreds of single wolfy females. All vying for the privilege of putting his cock and balls into their handbags like some godforsaken trophy.

Fuck.

Ever year he’d dodged the bullet, but this year one of the hungry piranha circling his house would become his mate.

Double fuck. He’d been through this before. He already had one. He just needed to find her, but the elders wouldn’t listen.

“You have to make a choice, Alpha.” Reid crossed the room and stood in front of him, blocking his view.

Carrick growled and spun away. “I’ll find her.”

Reid’s lips flattened, his dark eyes flashing in his anger. “You know the rules. Thirty-six is the last year an Alpha can rule without a mate by his side. The pack needs an Alpha female to be whole.”

“The pack is stronger than it’s been, or are you forgetting how I got here?”

Reid swallowed and backed up a step. “No. Justin was a horrible Alpha. You were right to destroy him. He was wrong for the Westmore Pack. Evil.”

And the bastard had been. He’d abused his power as Alpha to enslave his pack rather than uplift it. The amount of victims he’d unearthed in the days that followed would disturb him for the rest of his days. He could still see the faces of the women Justin had taken against their will and the shivering form of his sister and the strange girl who stood up to a monster.

Hers was the face that haunted his dreams. Her need reached out to him and made him into who he needed to be to overcome a near impossible situation. He had been up against a being far superior in strength but what he lacked in brawn, he’d more than made up for in sheer bullheadedness. And the electricity he felt when he touched her. His wolf recognized his mate and so did he. Now all that remained was to find her. It wasn’t like he hadn’t been looking. No one knew her name and, with her face partially shifted, her image was only a fleeting ghost in his mind.

“You’re damned right.” Carrick leaned back against his desk and rubbed the bridge of his nose. His father would be proud of the work he’d done. He’d turned the Westmore Estate from a near financial ruin to a lucrative operation centered on the newly formed security company owned by him and his second, Reid. Where people had once feared shifters for their propensity for violence because of Justin and his henchmen, he’d turned the tide and people paid for their protection. Handsomely. So much so that when the media had heard about the weekend’s festivities, he’d been dubbed the Ultimate Bachelor.

It made him fucking nauseous.

The one person he needed to find and he couldn’t and it made him crazy. Now, in a matter of a few days, he would either have to relinquish his role as Alpha or marry a gold digging piece of arm candy. The closest person he’d found was a barista at the coffee place he frequented but she didn’t look anything like the girl in his dreams. And now whenever she saw him coming, she hightailed it for the hills.

But she had popped a whisker.

Just like his goddess.

Jesus. He was losing his shit. Completely.

Breathless Monday: Asylum

Asylum Media Kit:
ISBN: 978-1-77101-393-2
By Dana Wright
Heat Rating: 1
Word Count: 16435
Release Date: October 10, 2014

Blurb:
The voices of the past are alive behind the iron gates of Bremore Asylum. Can Rachel and Matt deduce its secrets before it's too late?
When Rachel agrees to take the job investigating the disappearance of a fellow ghost hunter at Bremore Asylum, she is totally unprepared for the sexy and stubborn psychic debunker Matt Rutledge to be a part of the package. Can these two opposing forces find the answers behind the asylum's crumbling walls before they become the newest victims to the asylum's grim history?

Excerpt:
Rachel narrowed her eyes. What little hold she held on her frayed temper snapped. Self-doubt flared, but she stamped it out as quickly as it came.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She stepped forward, hands clenched into fists, her foot brushing against the luggage. Her hoodie slid off the suitcase and flopped unceremoniously into the dirt.
"We haven't even started on the project and you're trying to displace me already?"
Rutledge stepped back, surprise clear on his lightly parted lips. Lips she apparently still wanted to kiss, damn his eyes. God, what was wrong with her?
"My friend almost died because of a mistake I made. But you're already aware of that, aren't you, Mr. High and Mighty? Listen to me and listen good. I'm here because my grandmother needs me. I'm a damn fine ghost hunter, which you would already know if you bothered to see beyond what happened to Jeannie." She poked her finger into his chest and had the satisfaction of seeing him wince.
Matt stepped back and held up his hands, a ruddy flush creeping up his cheeks. "Okay. I was out of line. Truce?" He bent down and carefully picked up her hoodie, handing it to her gingerly.
"Thank you, Mr. Rutledge." Rachel snatched the hoodie from his hands and tied it around her waist with a firm yank. She didn't want to chance it falling in the dirt again and it was going to be a long weekend. At the rate they were going, it was going to be a full-on ice storm between them.
A flash of humor crossed his face. "Do you think maybe you could call me Matt?"
"That depends."
"On what?" Matt cocked his eyebrow with surprise.
"On whether you can stop dissecting me like one of your frauds."
