She learns more about this world and finds herself falling for Isaac and wants him so badly she will do or try just about anything to please him.  They work to plan the big Valentine party for the club but someone is not happy that she has gotten the event to plan and tries to blackmail her to quit.  She lets Isaac know what is happening and he is more than a little upset about it and for her protection insists that she come and stay at his place so he can be sure that she is safe.

The walls he put up protecting his heart after is divorce are starting to crumble.  He is falling in love with Lucia but it takes some very good friends of his to open his eyes.

This book is a hot read and a whole lot of fun!

Hot and heavy sex doesn't seem to be a problem and there is plenty of that, variety isn't a problem either.  Trust seems to be a base line here and it truly has to be earned.

Hot and heavy sex is plentiful and confusion enters the mix but it is time to go back to work.

Oh life has just begun for these two and sex is leading the way to some intense times in their lives.  Drama, sex, suspense, sex, mystery, sex, action, sex, tears, sex, love and did I mention sex abounds. Prepare yourself for a couple of interesting characters that keep you turning the pages.

It’s awesome to be back in the land of “Enchantments” to talk about my next release for Loose-Id, PERMANENT MARKER.

The story features Mark Moore, who is the father of Dasha Moore from THREE-PART HARMONY. I have to admit, I got a lot of sideways glances from folks when I announced that Mark would be my new hero! Mark isn’t exactly the most lovable of guys in Dasha’s story—but that’s what made him SO damned intriguing to me! I asked myself, “Man, what would make a guy just ignore his daughter like that?”

The answer came to me in a wild and very wicked rush. Mark’s been running from Dasha because he’s also been running from himself. He’s been living for four years basically clinging to the ghost of his wife, and frozen emotionally, unwilling to move on.

Needless to say, it’s going to take a very special woman to jar this boy out of his ever-lovin’ and tormented rut! I hope you agree that Rose Fabian is more than up for the job. At first, Mark’s dominant streak pretty much scares the crap out of her—but that’s only because she LIKES it so much! When she finally does let go and surrender to his seduction, she’s not sure whether she can give up the ghosts in her own closet to find her deep happiness with Mark.

I knew that with all this angst, I had to make sure there was a setting involved that brought a bit of a Zen factor for these two! Well, since I’m a girl who loves the water, I decided that Nassau, in the Bahamas, was a perfect fit. How can you go wrong with cascading waterfalls, gorgeous island sunsets, and the opportunities (which I certainly did NOT turn down) to set some hot scenes in the middle of island storms and on a pirate ship with lots and lots of ROPE!

Rose reacted instinctively, jerking her gaze from him. Mark palmed her cheek, forcing her to look back. “Nail on the fucking head, huh?”

“H-how do you even know his name?”

“What did he want to know about me?”

“Mark.” Tears hovered in her entreaty. “Sir. Please—”

“He told you to sleep with me, didn’t he?”

A weepy laugh spilled out. “God! And you think I ran because of that? You think I left you just to piss him off?” She struggled to look away again, but his grip didn’t relent. “Damn it, stop! It’s more complicated than that!”

“Okay. He told you not to sleep with me.”

“All Shane did was talk some sense into me, all right? Does that make you feel better now? Are you satisfied?”

His hold relaxed, but his voice hardened. “That’s it. I’m completely right. He drilled right in and got to you. That bastard punched all his old shit right back into your head, crap he’s been feeding you for years, even before Owen. He probably told you about being no good for me, to stay away and not corrupt the good senator with your eccentric reputation and your depraved sexual tendencies. No, wait. He didn’t stop there, did he? He likely found a great way to call you five kinds of alley cat too, right? Forget the ‘black sheep of the family’ shit. That’s much too easy for an asshole like him.”

“Stop! Please, just stop!” She drew a hard breath, getting ready to say it. Worth. The irony of all ironies. A safe word that embodied the furthest thing she felt right now.

“No.” It was a vicious syllable, spoken in the moment he captured hers in a fierce, fervent kiss. “No, goddamn it, we’re not stopping. Shane’s wrong, Rose. He couldn’t be more wrong.” With her face still pinned by his mouth, he slid his arms along hers, locking their hands, fitting his body atop hers with a thrust of undeniable intent. “To start with, I’d challenge him to name exactly who’s been corrupting who here…”

Overall:

If you enjoy books with a historical and contemporary flair, then give this one a whirl. Witches, gladiators, blood, curses, betrayals and of course, some sexy vampires with attitude problems. I loved it. When the book opens up, we are in the past as a priestess tries to find her calling. It comes in the form of blood and fire. Next, we are in the present, wandering the streets of Salem. I am a sucker for witch stories, especially in Salem. 

I loved the flow of this story and the imagery. You can smell the arena, the gladiators and feel the anguish of the characters. The dialogue is spot on and the erotic scenes are super hot. I hate giving too much away, but if you enjoy an adventure that crosses time, curses, vengeance, hot sex and some hotter vampires, then this book is for you. There are some elements of f/f erotica and anal play, but that only made the story even hotter.

When did you decide to write erotica?

Katalina: I decided to start writing erotica soon after I bought my first Ellora’s Cave book. I realized the day of the repressed romance novel was over and I wanted to get in on the fun.

Witches are sexy. What inspired The Strix?

My late friend Arcona, inspired me to write The Strix. She was Germanic and carried a strong sense of mysticism about her. As for witches isn’t a woman who has dark desires and is willing to take control of her world always a sexual force of nature?

What are some of your favorite erotic authors?

I love too many contemporary erotic authors to name here but I’ve always admired the crisp, clean BDSM style of my writing partner Amber Skyze. Another early inspiration was Pauline Réage the author of “The Story of O”, which I found eye-opening and devastating at the same time.

Martini vs. Margarita?

Katalina: I’m not much of a drinker, but a dirty martini with an extra olive sounds kind of nice, especially if Daniel Craig would come to my home and join me in a toast.

What is your favorite erotic genre?

Katalina: I change favorites all the time but lately paranormal and shape-shifters keep grabbing my attention. These days shape-shifting males seem to be more strongly associated with noble, decent and loyal behavior than human males… What’s that about? But who cares it’s exciting to read.

Did you craft a playlist with the book?

Katalina: Yes, I had favorite music I played obsessively. The writing schedule moved fast and I felt pressured to complete two full lengths novels at the same time. As far as I’m concerned pressure calls for Nine Inch Nails. The more pressure I felt the louder I played Nine Inch Nails. Tell us about the toughest scene you ever had to write?

Every love scene is the toughest scene I’ve ever written. All sexual scenes are agonizing to write. I refuse to write sexual content by formula. I want to feel it. Anything less is not fair to the reader or me. I get tangled up in what I’m writing and go slow.

Garden salad or cheeseburger?

Katalina: Why choose? I love blue cheese on both.

What one thing would you tell an aspiring erotica author?

Katalina: Give yourself permission to go there.

What are you working on now?

Katalina: A lot. Between Amber and I, book two in The Bag Of Tricks book series “Claimed By Dragons” will be available from Loose Id Publishing September 28^th. Books three and four are close behind. Solo, I have a very sexy Irish themed shifter tale heading to Ellora’s Cave. There’s also an ancient world historical series on the horizon.
