The year is 1950. The town is Austin, Texas. Young reporter Mary Jane Andrews isn’t sure what SM is, but she’s heard that it’s going on outside Austin, and she’s determined to investigate.

Book Description:

Mary Jane Andrews is what Texans call a pistol. She thinks fast, acts faster, and takes the consequences with a laugh. The year is 1950. Young reporter Mary Jane isn’t sure what SM is, but she’s heard that it’s going on outside Austin, and she’s determined to investigate. Once she meets the Master, she’s both enthralled and scared spitless.

What’s a Master to do when his hotter-than-sin sexual soul mate shows up at the door of his highly illegal sex house? Don’t worry, he has lots of ideas...

Trouble is, Mary Jane wants the story. And the Master won’t spend the rest of his natural life in jail. The sex is explosive, inventive, and addictive, both ways. Will it be bend or break for the insatiable Beauty and the masterful Beast?

Review:

Carole Remy is my hero. She never fails to leave me breathless and filled with longing. Now I want to go and hang out at an S&M club. *sigh* Her characters rock and you can feel every nuance of emotion ricocheting around in Mary Jane's head. From the irritation of her male dominated work situation to the harrowing experiences as she undertakes an adventure that would leave most of us shaking in our designer pumps.

I am still reading this jewel and am loving every second of it! Carol you have outdone yourself with this wonderful book. Now, I am going to go and refill my ice water (again) and go back to my e-reader. Sexy, hot and tons of fun, this read has made my vacation and I think I may just run out of ice. lol.

5/5 for sheer hotness and not wanting to ever sleep when there's a new Remy in the house. Woot! :)

Carole Remy Character Guest Blog for Erzabet's Enchantments

Carole: Thank you so much, Erzabet, for inviting me to your wonderful blog! I brought a friend with me today. She’s the original author of Beauty of the Beast, which is being released on Amazon Kindle tomorrow.

Erzabet: Welcome back, Carole. My readers really enjoyed your guest post on royalty vs self-publishing. What do you have for us today?

Carole: Something totally different. My friend would like to share the story of how she came to write Beauty of the Beast. She also has some insights to share from writing best selling erotica for many years.

Erzabet: Please, tell us all!

Well Erzabet, for the last many years, I've written erotica and you've bought it and I thank you. Yes, I see it there on your shelves! Beauty of the Beast is my last book, and I'm coming out of the literary closet. My real name is Mary Jane Andrews. Yup, the same one—Pulitzer Prize in 1956 and another in 1967. Broke the Steeplegate scandal in 1976. Matriarch of women reporters, though Barbara has been giving me a run for the last few years. Barbara Walters, my dear, she’s a dear friend.

You may wonder why I'm coming out at my age, and I can only answer, why not? My publishers figure that the erotic autobiography of a semi-famous four-foot-six great-grandmother will sell like hotcakes. They want me to go on Oprah. Besides, I get my own way. The politicians called me a battleax when I was forty; and if I want to write this book, hell, I'm going to write it.

I've received many letters asking me how true my books are. Well, really! Did you ever try to get into some of the positions I've described? If you attempted the couplings in Taming of the Hugh, you're probably still in traction. Of course the emotions are real, or the books wouldn't be fun; but no, I have never hung upside down from a trapeze eating grapes with a ripe banana hanging out of my private parts.

This book is different because every word in it is true. When you get older, the past gets more vivid, and Beauty of the Beast is my past, mine and my husband's. If you don't know who my husband is, I won't spill the beans. You can have fun trying to guess. Don't worry, I spell it out in the epilogue.

We fell in love under unusual circumstances, a sort of 1950s Beauty and the Beast. I of course was the Beauty. If you've seen the cover of Andrews Distilled, you know that I was once quite attractive. My husband says I still am, bless him. Beauty of the Beast is the story of how we met, and yes, it is erotic. We have enjoyed a lot of sex over the last forty-five years, and a lot of laughs, too. Feel free to put your copy in a plain brown wrapper, if you choose.

Oh yes. You have Kindles now, don’t you? How convenient! My story begins in Austin, Texas, at the city desk of the American-Statesman. But that's Chapter One, and you’ll have to buy the book to read the rest of the story.

Erzabet: That’s quite a story, Miss Andrews. Now that you mention it, I do know who your husband...

Mary Jane: Don’t say his name, dear. I want it to be a surprise for the readers. Thank you for inviting me today. You have a lovely blog, and I’ve enjoyed our little visit.

Erzabet: You are a unique visitor, Ms Andrews. Please, come back any time. Um, you too, Carole, please.

Carole: It’s okay, Erzabet. She always upstages me. With great love, of course! Let’s go, Ms. Andrews. I think the limo is here.

Beauty of the Beast goes on sale tomorrow on Amazon Kindle for only $3.99. It sounds like an amazing book, and I hope you’ll buy it. If you’d like to chat with Carole or Mary Jane, leave a comment. They’ll be stopping by again later to respond.

***Leave a comment and your email for a chance to win a copy of the book! Come on! You know you want to!
