Nobody's Angel Virtual Book Tour

Nobody’s Angel
by Stacy Gail

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Book one in The Earth Angels
 Investigative journalist Kendall Glynn is horrified when a friend and colleague signs off permanently during a live newscast, jabbing a pen into his jugular. Kendall's no expert, but judging by the strange white veil in the anchorman's eyes, she would swear he was a man possessed.
A descendant of the accursed Nephilim, Zeke Reece prowls San Francisco by night, keeping the city free from paranormal phenomena. But even he is no match for whatever malevolent force is behind a recent rash of murder-suicides. And when a beautiful tenacious reporter becomes the next target, Zeke has no choice but to stay close to her, until he can find the evil spirit and cross it over.
The closer Kendall gets to the truth, the more danger she's in. Fortunately, a sexy and mysterious masked stranger keeps swooping in to the rescue. Kendall's life depends on finding who or what is responsible for the killings, before it finds her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“You,” she breathed. She struggled to get a clear view of him, but it was a hopeless task. Even if a mask hadn’t covered half his face, the darkness around him seemed deeper, like an impenetrable black hole where no light could exist. “Where… How…”

“Quiet.” The tension in his voice was palpable. She could even feel it in the body that pinned her to the alley wall, thrumming with a kill-or-be-killed urgency that made her own pulse pound. “It took off once it diverted me. I can’t believe how smart it is.”

“What’s smart?” Shadows filled the places where his eyes should be, leaving dark pools of endless mystery. Belatedly she realized their bodies touched in one long line from chest to knees, and it was all she could do to pull a coherent thought together. “What took off? Why did you attack me?”

A low growl emanated from him. “I didn’t attack you, I saved your life. Again. You’re welcome, by the way.”

“You saved me? From what, that out-of-control scooter? I’ll admit, I never heard it coming—”

“That’s because it wasn’t running at the time.”

“What?” Her eyes went wide as horror began to creep in. “That’s impossible.”

“Impossible is the definition of your life lately.” She sensed more than saw his head angle closer to hers, as if to share intimate whispers in the dark. A shiver she knew he must have felt shook her when the feathering of his breath caressed her lips.

Before we begin, I’d like to thank Erzabet at Erzabet Enchantments for allowing me to chat about NOBODY’S ANGEL, my latest release from Carina Press, and the first book in The Earth Angels paranormal romance series!

1.     How did you get started writing?
SG: Heh, I was writing fanfic before it was cool.  I used to read Trixie Belden when I was a kiddo, and I’d “rewrite” the endings for each book where Trixie got to kiss her crush, Jim Frayne. :D

2.      What is your favorite scene in the book?
SG: Ooh, there are a couple scenes in NOBODY’S ANGEL that really rev my engine. *waggles brows* But I’d have to say the “reveal” scene, when the heroine Kendall recognizes the hero as being Zeke Reece, is probably my favorite.  I mean, how would you feel when you found out the guy you were falling for was a superhero with wings? ^_^

3.      What about the paranormal sets your blood on fire?
SG: The limitless possibilities of it.  Anything can—and often does—happen in the world of the paranormal.

4.      Angels are an interesting and provocative subject. Tell us a little about the characters in your world.
SG: The original Nephilim were angel-human hybrids.  Thousands of years later, their descendants are mostly human…with a little angelic DNA thrown in. Zeke Reece, whose ancestor was an angel of death, grapples with things that go bump in the night while doing his best to keep Kendall Glynn, the target of a supernatural attack, out of danger.  For her part, Kendall is terrified, yes, but she’s not willing to sit idly by and be a victim.  She’s determined to find answers to the evil that is targeting her. Eventually Zeke and Kendall will have to work together to stay alive.

5.      Cheeseburger or pizza?
SG: Cheeseburger! (Pizza has too many carbs, sadly *sigh*)

6.      What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
SG: Cookies ‘n’ cream, yummmm.

7.      Open the book and tell us what is happening.
      SG:  Shock and awe—a murder-suicide just happened on a live local TV news broadcast, and this is what starts the ball rolling in NOBODY’s ANGEL.

8.      Plotter or pantster?
SG: Plotter, all the way.

9.      Movie watcher or book enthusiast (when not writing...lol)
SG: Bury me in books!

10.  What is next on your writing horizon
SG: Ready for the list?  Here’s what my 2013 calendar looks like…
2-4-13—SAVAGE ANGEL releases, the second book in The Earth Angels series
5-13—WOUNDED ANGEL releases, the third book in The Earth Angels series
7-13—UGLY DUCKLINGS FINISH FIRST, the first book in my small town contemporary romance series, entitled Bitterthorn, Texas
And I just finished the final book in The Earth Angels, DANGEROUS ANGEL, so hopefully my editor will like what she sees, and we’ll have that out sometime next year.  Fingers crossed!

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

A competitive figure skater from the age of eight, Stacy Gail began writing stories in between events to pass the time. By the age of fourteen, she told her parents she was either going to be a figure skating coach who was also a published romance writer, or a romance writer who was also a skating pro. Now with a day job of playing on the ice with her students, and writing everything from steampunk to cyberpunk, contemporary to paranormal at night, both dreams have come true.
