Accidental Sex Goddess Virtual Tour: The Amazing Lexi Ryan

Accidental Sex Goddess
by Lexi Ryan

BLURB:

Promotions director Reese Regan isn’t a sex goddess and doesn’t want to be. But the job of her dreams requires enrollment in the renowned Sex Goddess 101. To avoid a trip to the unemployment line, Reese must pass the program and become Chicago’s next seductress—or at least fake it convincingly. Her best friend, the ruggedly sexy contractor Ben Hawk, helps her “fake” her way through the program, and the heat between them flares. When trust is broken and secrets are revealed, it appears they’ve traded years-long friendship for temporary passion. Will faking something so important cost them their chance at something real?

“I assume you’ve moved past your drunken I want to be a slut plans.”

“Oh, I haven’t moved past it. I just know better sober than to believe I can do it.” She shrugged. “I’m not sex goddess material. Life goes on.”

Ben stared at her for a moment, then slugged back the rest of his coffee and headed toward the basement without preamble. Reese followed, humming softly under her breath, a sound low enough to sling shot his mind straight back to his fantasy, to the idea of her under his hands…his mouth.

“Hey, grumpy,” she said when they reached the bottom of the stairs. She tugged on his shoulder until he turned to face her. “Anything I can do to improve your mood this morning?”

“I can think of a few things.” He couldn’t help himself. He let his gaze travel slowly down her body, lingering at her curves and traveling so slowly back to her face he had enough time to picture every inch of her bare, exposed, ready for him.

When he returned his eyes to her face, a deep red blush stained her cheeks. “Ben!” She landed a soft punch to his solar plexus.

Ben lifted a shoulder in a half shrug. “You asked.”

“When was the last time you got laid?”

He knew down to the day, but he wasn’t about to share the truth with Reese—not when the date was just as significant in her life. “A few months.”

“Well, you need to do something about that.”

“You volunteering?”

The Review:

Accidental Sex Goddess
Lexi Ryan

Contemporary
M/F
179 pages

Reese gets let go from a job she has been at for six years and feels about as low as she did when her previous boyfriend of three years dumped her.  To top it all off her car is not running and she is caught in an unexpected downpour and is drenched like a drowned kitten.  Oh yes it is just what she didn't need, to run into the ex boyfriend and he is his usual brutal self and degrading words and comments are thrown at her.

Reese has a sense of loyalty that is rare and being that she believed in the project she had been working on before being laid off she is trying to secure the backing SexGoddess, Inc for the charity masquerade ball to benefit Almost Home, a woman's shelter.

Halie, the head of Sex Goddess, Inc. is furious that Reese has been laid off but is quick to try to employ her as Program Director for Sex Goddess, Inc.  Only catch is that she would have to participate in the program and complete Sex Goddess 101.

Reese needs a job or she will for sure lose the condo she has and besides she does need a job just to live.  She doesn't want to the 101 part of it but she figures she can fake it so she says yes.

Ben has been a good friend through thick and thin for many years and that really is the problem because years ago they set the limits to friendship and dear friends they are.  Under that friendship lies unsettled feelings that wants more but both are afraid to take a chance and lose the most treasured friendship.

Halie in her attempts to help a woman be stronger gets a lesson herself from Reese as she becomes confident about who she really is.

Great read for accidental Sex Goddesses everywhere! You never know when your inner beauty will shine.

  2. Thank you for hosting on of my last two tour stops and for taking the time to write such a nice review!

Good morning, everyone! I see a big storm is headed toward the east coast of the US and Canada. Please, be safe if you're in that area. We had an ice storm a couple years ago that left most of the city without power for days, and it really opened my eyes to how under-prepared we were. Before, I never thought we'd really need a generator, but now it's on my wishlist. Tell me, what kind of storms or natural disasters do you have to prepare for where you live?

  9. Thanks for the tour! I'm a librarian and just don't think there's an inner sex goddess in me...although an inner sex goddess gift basket might help!

I live in the South (U.S.) so we have hurricanes...they're a fact of life and I've been through a lot over the years but have never had any real damage, thankfully. I feel bad for my friends in the Northeast, though. I was just in NJ last month and saw a lot of lasting damage from Sandy--they don't need this big storm right now.

    1. Catherine, this book is a complete rewrite of the first novel I ever completed. In the first version, Reese's character was a librarian! :)

I hope your friends in the NE weathered the storm okay. I'll be thinking of them!

  10. I have loved this tour and already bought this book. Generally if we have natural disasters here in Kentucky, it is tornadoes or snow & ice storms. Last March we had a lot of them, that actually destroyed the town my father is from, where most of his family still lives. I thought it was amazing that out of the whole town being destroyed, non of my family members' homes were destroyed, or were they injured.
