Emily Scarlet’s husband left her for his secretary and died in a car accident—all on the same day. Now, six months later, Emily has emerged from her chrysalis of painful memories. And to prove she has what it takes to attract a man, she’s determined to experience one perfect night of passion.

Feline shape shifter, Saber Mitchell has a problem with his four boisterous younger brothers. They’re out of control. It’s too late for him, but he hopes to get his brothers mated and settled, and the ball is the place to introduce them to marriageable women.

Unbridled sex is the last thing he plans on, but one glimpse of Emily Scarlet changes his mind. Sex with her is a necessity. They dance. They make love.
One thing is clear—a single night isn’t enough. Saber must have her for his mate, but Emily isn’t so easy to convince…or trust.

Six months after her cheating husband died Emily declared to was time to start living and went out with her sister-in-law and best friend.  She had gotten two tickets to a dance being held in Middlemarch.  They took the train and off they went for a night of fun.

Saber and his brothers were at the dance also and in all honesty they were the ones that set it all up.  They were were-panthers and the females available were few to none and this seemed like a good way to draw them to town.

Saber thought he was past ever finding his mate but wanted to help his younger brothers possibly find their mates.  When he say Emily he knew right away that she was his mate.  He had to convience her and that would not be easy.  She knew nothing about what he was and she no longer trusted men after what all her husband had put her through.

He was up for the challenge without a doubt but it would take more than super sex to gain her trust.  The sex was great and mutually enjoyed but she still had trust issues he had to work on because he didn't want to force a mate claim on her, he wanted her to want him as much as he wanted her.
