Breathless Monday: Even Villains Go to the Movies

Welcome back to Breathless Monday where we talk with Liana Brooks about romance and all things writing...

1. How did you start writing romance?
I started writing and the characters started falling in love. I think, at the end of the day, I really believe in Happily Ever After and true love so it sneaks into my writing even if I don't plan on romance for those characters.
2. Plotter or pantster?
Pantster by nature. Plotter by necessity. I don't like outlines but they're crucial for writing on a schedule and meeting deadlines. I sometimes revise the outline after I start writing, but I do plot the basics before I write chapter four. The first three chapters I pants just to see if the story is worth writing more of.
3. What are three things you have on your writing desk?
Computer, phone, reference books.... and an unholy amount of pens in baskets.
4. Favorite food?
Sushi.
5. Tell us a little about your new release. What character in the book really spoke to you?
Even Villains Go To The Movies was my first foray into what I would call Traditional Romance. The other books I'd written before had established couples and were either about getting back together after a separation or about revitalizing a marriage. MOVIES was the first time I really wrote about characters meeting for the first time with no prior knowledge of each other. It was so much fun!
Angela is probably my favorite character in the book. She's the typical Southern-girl-next-door which means she's sassy, and strong, and very opinionated. In the scene where she first meets Arktos he knocks her to the ground and says he's there to rescue her. Angela brushes him off, takes control of the situation, and kind of pats the boy on the head as she sashays away.
I love women who don't trip over their feet when they meet a hot guy. They do it all the time in books, but I don't think a real woman would. We'd look, yes. We might might fangrrl! a little. But if you or I were knocked down in a dark alley by a masked man our first reaction wouldn't be too swoon, we'd hit him! You wouldn't think he was a romantic lead or your True Love, you'd think he was attacking you.
Later on Angela falls in love with Arktos, but it's a gradual process.
6. I write because ...
Do you want the feel good answer or the real answer?
I love writing. I've always made up stories and I scribbled out stories in my notebooks in school, but I never planned on being an author. It's a good outlet for my creativity, but if I was banned from writing I'd probably be okay. The main reason I write is because it's something I can do from home. And that's the Facts Of Life answer.
When I graduated college I had a two-year-old daughter and was pregnant with our second. I planned on taking a year off and then going back to grad school. During that year my oldest was diagnosed with a speech disorder (later determined to be Audio Processing Disorder and severe speech apraxia). Suddenly we were going to two or three therapy appointments a week and going back to school stopped being an option. There wasn't a job that would allow me to take care of my girls and get paid enough to work. I hadn't written fiction during college, but I started again to give myself something that was purely mine.
It's been ten years, and I'm grateful I've been able to turn something I love doing into a career that lets me stay at home and be there for my kids.
This past year was the first time I found myself casually introducing myself to strangers as an author. But it works. There's a very supportive and open community created by readers and writers and I love being part of that.
7. What is your favorite type of character to write about?
I love the active characters who aren't afraid to shoot things up, set off the explosives, or kick butt. They aren't all I write, but they are fun!
8. What is the sexiest scene you ever wrote?
There was a scene where an assassin goes to a hotel and the mark seduces him. Sexy, sexy scene. It was written for Heroes and Villains Book 4 (which does not have a release date) and I don't think it will actually make the final cut. In print, the basketball scene in Even Villains Have Interns is hot, but the kiss in the alley in Even Villains Have Movies is probably hotter.
9. What advice would you give new authors in the erotica/romance field?
Don't quit. Keep writing. Write what you love and what you find romantic, don't chase the trends. If you try to write something that isn't your kink the scene will fall flat. The readers will know. So don't bother. Write what you love instead.
10. What is next on your writerly horizon?
Obviously the print editions of Even Villains Go To The Movies and Even Villains Have Interns (debuting January 16th) are the big news. I'm very excited to see the villains in print. Book 4 will probably be out by the end of the year. It still needs a title so feel free to suggest some in the comments! And then I've signed a contract for a sci-fi novel with romantic elements with Harper Voyager and that may have a 2015 release date as well. It's still officially TBA.

Liana Brooks is a full time mom, part time author, who would rather slay dragons than budget the checkbook any day. Book  blurb-
When your mother is America’s Superhero Sweetheart and your daddy’s the Number One Super Villain, you grow up feeling a little conflicted.

Angela Smith has superpowers—nothing that will ever make her comic-book famous—but her ability to psychically sense and manipulate the emotions of people around her has drawn unwanted government attention. Forced to choose between her quiet life as a teacher under constant surveillance or the life of a rogue, she chooses the latter. She plans to hide out in sunny Los Angeles where being a blue-eyed blonde won’t make anyone bat a false eyelash.

Silver screen star by day, superhero by night, Arktos is a triple-threat. He can fly, freeze anything, and see glimpses of the future, all of which he needs to keep the city of Los Angeles safe, but which does nothing for his social life. When a frightening vision of an explosion leads him to rescue a damsel in distress, he finds himself trading Shakespearean insults with a rogue.

Angela knows just how dangerous well-intentioned superheroes can be: one tried to kill her family when she was young. Arktos knows he should hand the rogue over to Company justice; it’s not safe for someone like her to be in the middle of a fight.

But they can’t seem to stay apart. And together, they just might be able to melt all the obstacles standing between true love for a hero and a villain.

Book excerpt-

Angela tossed the red curls of her wig and parked Luiz's bike in the alley behind the conference center. She hadn't put on her Rage getup since arriving in L.A., but tonight the mental screams of terror echoing from the center warranted the kind of investigation that would attract questionable attention.
Tight black jeans, a bright red tank top that matched her hair, and a leather duster that was too heavy for the L.A. heat were a start. She'd added a black domino mask that obscured the shape of her nose and cheekbones when she'd moved to New York, because no one needed to see their favorite school teacher beating down the local thugs. The heart and star pendant around her neck— a little invention of her Daddy's that would shield her from most things—completed the outfit.
The "most" still worried her some days.
Terror radiated from the building, escalating until the headache tearing into her brain was a living fire. Whatever was happening, she would hit back. Hard.
Checking to make sure the alley was empty, Angela sauntered toward the back door and hoped someone inside had been kind enough to leave it open. More often than not the people hired to cater at these places would stick a rock in the door to keep it from locking every time they slipped out for fresh air.
If not she could always pick the lock. Angela sighed. The whole point of moving away from her sisters was to avoid a life filled with crime and superheroes.
Angela reached for the door and someone hit her. A breeze ruffled her wig and she found herself on her back in the alleyway, staring up at a masked man. No hate tainted the aura around him, nothing that suggested that he was dangerous except that he was bigger than her.
She raised an eyebrow. "Hello?"
The man took a deep breath. "Hi." He smelled like mint.
"I'm new to the area, so I'm not familiar with the protocol when you're jumped by a masked man in an alleyway. Is there a secret handshake or something?" she asked, sarcastically.
"I'm here to save your life."
Angela looked around for signs of danger. The man was the only thing in the alley, and he was cradling her, hand cushioning her head, muscular arms suspending him in a pushup so his body weight wasn't resting on her.
"Right. What danger am I in, exactly?"
"The door is going to explode and kill you," he said in a very serious tone.
She lifted her head to peer over his shoulder at the door. It was a mistake. The movement meant gyrating under him in his spandex suit, and she caught a whiff of cologne, soap, and clean sweat. His emotions shifted, becoming tinged with desire and arousal.
Angela cleared her throat and lay back down, trying to put space between herself and her captor. "Mm hmm. Tell you what, let me up and I'll help you find your doctor. I bet someone is very worried about you missing your medicine."

A Siren Classic Erotic Sci-Fi Romance – Book 6

A simple turn of your head can change your life forever. That’s what Maxim Telarius will soon realize when he spots a female cracking up passengers at an airport counter. What he didn’t expect was to find his potential mate when the counter comedian inevitably trips over a suitcase and practically lands in his lap. One innocent touch and he’s fighting through a powerful mating surge and begging her not to leave. One blink and she could be lost to him forever.

Skylar Grey is fleeing for her life with a mysterious object stuffed in her purse and no idea where’s she heading. When she spots a gorgeous hunk she just dreamed about, what’s a girl to do? Watching the guy twist on the floor in agony wasn’t what she envisioned. Should she run, or stay to help someone that seems extremely important to her survival?

Book 6 in the Fueled By Lust Series doesn’t disappoint on the erotic, set your hair on fire expectations of the Insedi male.

Reader note: Series best read in sequence.

Enjoy an excerpt:
Their bodies crashed together in the middle of the room. He didn’t even remember throwing his bag to the side. All he knew, or cared about, was the feel of her sweet mouth opening for him, her arms wrapped around his neck, and her fingers frantically unraveling his braid. He couldn’t stop the deep growl of approval rumbling through his chest or his equally haphazard attempt at releasing her flowing locks.

Maxim pulled his head back just long enough to gasp for air and lift her shirt over her head. He drank in the sight of her black lace bra lovingly cupping her luscious mounds until his shirt blocked the view as she yanked it up and practically tore it from his body. Her palms landed heavily on his pecs and she looked up to him.

“Damn, Maxim. You’re exactly like my vision, except better. If you have a black loin cloth on under those jeans, I’m going to faint.”

Plopping on the bed, he shucked his boots and socks then leapt back up. He unbuckled his belt and quickly slid the zipper down. He didn’t give a shit that his voice sounded like a barbaric maniac. He was close to having his skin next to hers and he couldn’t wait a moment longer.

“I have one back home, but there’s not a damn thing under here to get in my way.” He shoved his jeans off and kicked them to the side. He knew his cock was bobbing up and down in anticipation, and he watched her eyes gradually widen as she took in the sight. Her lips parted, and her words rushed out on a hard breath.

“Oh, shit.”

He grabbed the middle and lifted it toward his belly to give her ample viewing of what he had to offer.

“Don’t worry. You’ll fit me. That pussy’s mine.”

Her eyes flicked back up to his.

“Ah, hell. I like the way you talk. You just made my knees wobble.”

“I’m going to do more than that, sweetness. Lose the bra and get those jeans off. I want to see you.”

 Excerpt:

“Sadie!” James slams out of the bedroom door. “Fuck, you’re late!” He’s grinning. and throws himself across the room at me like a hellhound pup. I haven’t seen him move that fast in months. Through the clothes on the ground, over the milk-crate table to scoop me up and squeeze me like a paint tube, crinkled fierce in the middle. He puts me back on the ground in the kitchenette doorway and  holds my face between his hands. They’re cold. He’s taken off his gloves. My heart gives a huge whump. I cover his fingers with my mittened ones. “Have you been working?”
He shakes his head, but grins. His long hair pokes out from under his knit beanie the way a squid’s legs writhe from its body. He’s blond, tan even in the city winter, and his cheekbones sit like armor plates under his genius blue eyes. Seeing him always makes me want to look longer. But then he kisses me, and my eyes close to shut out everything but how his mouth breathes into my lungs, putting desire where/' air was. His lips are so tender, but his kiss isn’t. Somehow, the softness of his mouth creates something strong and tugging that sucks out or dissolves all the insides of me. He makes me liquid, warm and deep, and swallows up my thoughts.
“I got you a present!” he announces, taking his mouth away from me when it’s all I want.
“Yeah?” I’m trying not to reel.
He goes around me into the kitchenette, and returns, hands behind his back, grin about to crack his face.
He hasn’t shaved, and he isn’t clean. His clothes are cheap and paint-stained and his hands look like a mechanic’s, but his teeth are perfect. White as toilets. Straight as his parents. James grew up a rich boy and doesn’t notice that nobody we know has expensive teeth.
He whips one hand out and gives me a box. Upside down and backward, it takes me a second. Hair dye. The good stuff. My roots have been growing in — boring brown under the white-out bleach — but I’ve been too broke for pretty. Before I can even kiss him, he shows the rest of his stash. A half carton — six eggs — in his other hand. My hunger shifts gears with the ease of an old tractor, from metaphorical to very real.
“Oh, holy shit,” I say. “I’ll put water on!”
James steps aside to let me into the kitchen, and there’s already a pot of water on the burner.
“I did, when I came in for the stuff.” He grins, sheepish-proud, like he should be. His gifts are inspired, romantic, and what I’d buy for myself if  we had money to blow. I reach to kiss him again, but he grabs my waist and hoists me onto the counter next to the sink. He stands between my legs, and pulls me by my hips till our bodies touch.  He keeps his hands there, tucking my ass against him. His kiss is even softer this time, tasting my mouth. It teases the longing in me, drawing it out like endless pizza cheese. I bite into his lower lip. He sucks on mine. I hang between hopes — the paper bag of paint and brushes I bought him waiting in the cupboard behind me, and James’s body, hands, and lips, restless with ambition and talent, roving over me.
“Soup’s on!” he says.

Breathless Monday with Iyana Jenna: Not Mistaken Identity

Thank you so much, Erzabet, for having me on your blog!

1. How did you start writing erotic romance?
Erotic romance – hmm. Honestly, I’m a bit doubtful to call myself an erotic romance. I just write romance with a little bit of sex peppered there. Even then I think my stories are more on sweet romance. Anyway, I started writing intensively about ten years ago but the romance part came somewhat later.
2. Plotter or pantster?
I’d like to say that I have the tendency to become a pantser though I do make a rough plan of a story at the beginning.
3. What are three things you have on your writing desk?
Uh, I don’t have a writing desk…
4. Favorite food?
Cakes, steak, cheese, sea food fried noodles, etc.
5. Tell us a little about your new release. What character in the book really spoke to you?
So yeah, my new release, Not Mistaken Identity, tells about an actor who gets abducted because the abductor loves to see how he acts in his TV series so much he wants to have a personal showing. I definitely love Chase Riley, the main character here, because I think I’m as mean as the abductor. Oops.
6. I write because ____ I need a way to release my stress from my work and other things in the real life.
7. What is your favorite type of character to write about?
A tortured one, mentally or physically
8. What is the sexiest scene you ever wrote?
Perhaps the one in the shower where one guy was having a shower and the apparition of his boyfriend turned up and cuddled with him.
9. What advice would you give new authors in the erotica/romance field?
I know it’s not easy to write sex scenes. I’m definitely not very strong in that case. And more, there are hundreds or maybe thousands of titles of romance stories written out there. You should find creative ways in which sex scenes are presented.
10. What is next on your writerly horizon?
I joined several other authors to write an anthology of short stories that will be released around summer next year, I guess. I really hope my story will be as good as those authors.

Thank you again. I really enjoyed the interview. I hope you will be, too!

Author Bio:
Iyana writes M/M short stories and novellas. Her works have been published by Evernight Publishing, JMS Books, Books to Go Now, Torquere Press, Bitten Press, Leap of Faith Publishing, Breathless Press, and Alfie Dog Fiction.
Iyana lives in Jakarta, a city famous for its traffic jams, a lot of cars and motorcycles, and people selling stuff on the roads. You can spend two hours on the road going to a place you can reach in half an hour in a normal situation. Thanks to the traffic jams, though, Iyana can come up with a lot of stories, mostly shorties, as she prefers to spend the time during her trips writing into her cell phone rather than sleeping.
Another thing Iyana loves is kitties. Right now she has three of them. Their names are Cil, Horus, and Betsy, and one kitten. When she doesn’t write, she plays with them, or they would play with her when she writes.

Blurb:

Actor Chase Riley is road tripping his way home when he is abducted. A delusional fan is convinced that Chase is really Elliot, the character he plays in a popular cop series. In order to survive, Chase must channel all his TV character's smarts, while trying to convince his abductor that he really is just a very good actor.

Chase's boyfriend, co-star Aidan Buffett, is on a trip with his sister when he gets news of Chase's disappearance. Trapped in an airport in Mexico trying to get home, Aidan is both terrified he will never see Chase again and tortured with guilt for allowing his lover to travel alone.

When Chase makes a desperate attempt to escape, the consequences are serious. And though Aidan will get to see his Chase again, it is with no guarantee that his boyfriend will survive to tell the tale.

Excerpt:

This wasn't the first time Chase had stopped at this place. The food wasn't bad and, besides, he was famished. He hadn't eaten anything since dinner last night and had only coffee this morning.
"I'll take today's special and the grilled chicken and garlic."
"Right away, sir."
There weren't many customers. Chase swept a glance around the room from his bar stool. The quieter, the better. He really didn't want anyone to recognize him.
"You look familiar."
Great. So much for not being recognized.
Chase turned slowly sideways. A man, fiftyish, had taken the stool right next to him. Chase automatically pulled back.
"You got the wrong man."
"I don't think so." The man grinned widely. "Riley, right? Chase Riley, the actor? I'm Bob Nelson." He seized Chase's hand and shook it hard.
Chase offered a half-hearted smile. Who is this man? A journalist?
"My son is a big fan of your show."
Ah. Chase smiled.
"He worships Elliot Smith. He thinks he’s a real hero."
Elliot Smith was the character he played on a TV show.
"Yeah, I think so too," Chase said carefully.
"He tries to do whatever Elliot does, but it frustrates him sometimes when he can't. He wants Elliot to be there with him, to show him the ropes."
Chase paused. This didn't sound right.
And when his food came, Chase could only look at it, his appetite slipping away.
"Uh, you mind if I ask this to be wrapped?" he asked, somewhat hesitant, but the waiter was a truly nice man.
"Definitely not a problem."
Chase nodded, and he grimaced toward the old man.
"That's awesome that your son enjoys our series. We really appreciate your support." Chase didn't want to think that it might look embarrassing that he then dashed to the cashier. He wasn't afraid of the man. No, he wasn't.
Chase was relieved that his order was ready to go by the time he'd finished paying. He hurried across the parking lot toward his car and tossed the food onto the passenger seat. Only when he sank into his seat behind the wheel did Chase take a deep breath of relief. He closed his eyes.
Chase, you're pathetic, he scolded himself. No wonder Aidan keeps worrying about you.
Chase glanced in the rear-view mirror as he put on his sunglasses, tensing when suddenly he saw a movement behind him. Before he had a chance to look again, something sharp thrust into his side through layers of his shirt and jacket.
"Not a word, no sudden movement. I don't want to harm you but—"
"You have a knife!" Chase said.
"No talking!"
The man shoved the knife deeper and Chase breathed hard as he felt it pierce his skin. His ears were ringing as he tried to make sense of what was happening.
"Drive," urged the man.
Chase tried to catch a glimpse of him in the mirror, but the guy was crouching low behind his seat.
"No—"
"Go!"

Breathless Monday: Scarlett Legacy

Welcome to Breathless Monday and I am very excited to see a naughty tale of Red Riding Hood on the blog today. There's just something about a girl in red...sigh...I can't wait to read it. So without further ado here is the lovely Shelli Rosewarne.

1. How did you start writing erotic romance?
I love romance as a genre, the character and relationship development is fascinating to me - plus I'm a sucker for a happy ending! As to the erotic side... well, that's all down to my characters, I've given up on asking them to behave :)
2. Plotter or pantster?
Complete pantster! I always admire those writers who have everything beautifully planned out and know what is going to happen and when, but I've never been able to pull that off. My characters take me on a journey with them, and I'm usually just as surprised as they are as to how things work out. Still, that's a huge part of the fun for me.
3. What are three things you have on your writing desk?
I tend to write anywhere and everywhere, so it's not always a desk! Still, my writing essentials tend to be; Diet Coke, can't function without my caffeine fix, background music or tv, I don't like it to be too quiet, and of course my laptop - with optional furry helper walking across it!
4. Favorite food?
I have a terrible sweet tooth, so anything cake or chocolate related tends to do it for me.
5. Tell us a little about your new release. What character in the book really spoke to you?
My new release is inspired by the Little Red Riding Hood fairytale, but set in the modern day and with a completely different twist to it. I have a total soft spot for my hero, Damian. He's such a strong, alpha male character, but at the same time he's a little bit lost and has that slightly vulnerable side. At the same time though, even though I love him he was one of the harder characters I've had to write, dragging the thoughts and emotions out of him was seriously hard work at times!
6. I write because I couldn't not do. The voices in my head would drive me crazy!
7. What is your favorite type of character to write about?
I'm quite a big fan of the 'anti-hero' (Loki, anyone?) so a lot of my guys tend to have a bit of the dark and tortured feel to them. I'm also terrible for wanting to redeem my villains - whether it's always possible we'll have to see!
8. What is the sexiest scene you ever wrote?
Ooh, I don't know if I could pick just one. There's a few in this book that made me a little hot under the collar, and that I'm going to be blushing a bit when I think about my parents reading them!
9. What advice would you give new authors in the erotica/romance field?
I think the best advice for any new authors is just to write. There's always going to be people telling you it's silly, there's always going to reasons not to and other things to do, there's always going to be that little voice in your head wondering whether it's good enough. If it's really what you want to do though then you need to push through. Also, don't let anyone make you feel bad about writing romance or erotica, there are sadly some rather small-minded people out there but you should always write what you love.
10. What is next on your writerly horizon?
Well, Scarlett Legacy is the first in a new series, so I'm currently on with the next two books. There are more wolves coming!

Bio:
Shelli Rosewarne had always had a dream in the back of her head about wanting to be a writer. However, like with so many things, life and paying the bills got in the way and she worked in various jobs from call centers to shops to offices. She eventually realized that life is too short not to try and follow your dreams, and has since had two stand alone novellas published with Breathless Press, along with several submissions in anthologies, and various works in progress in the pipeline. Yup, she's having to pinch herself as well! She's currently lucky enough to live in Edinburgh, where she can be constantly inspired by Scottish folklore and see castles every day. When not writing she loves reading, music and photography.

Blurb:

Natalia eyed the shining water with fresh appreciation. She had to admit it would be nice to do something to take her mind away from all the crap.
"I didn't bring a suit," she murmured, a bit regretfully.
His grin turned wicked. "You don't need one. There's no one around."
She glared at him. "You're around!"
"I won't look." His eyes were teasing.
Yeah, right! She snorted. "I don't believe you!"
"Okay, how about this. I may look, but I promise I won't touch. Unless you ask me to, of course."
Natalia burst out laughing, surprising herself. Ten minutes ago, she'd been sobbing her eyes out.
His gaze softened. "Come on, you could do with it."
The water did look calm, she thought as she eyed it up. "You're sure it's safe for swimming?"
"Sure, I used to come here as a kid."
She shot him a quick glance at that. It was hard to imagine him as an innocent child. He grinned back at her as though he knew exactly what she thinking—which, quite frankly, shouldn't surprise her after today, but she wasn't going to go there right now.
"Look, if you're that bothered leave your underwear on. It's such a warm day you'll dry out afterward."
Really, it wasn't much different than a bikini, was it? She found herself nodding before she thought better of it and he reached a hand down to tug her to her feet. A half smile tugged at her lips. It might be a bit old-fashioned, but she liked the little gestures he made like that. Then he pulled his shirt over his head and she stopped breathing.
His body was like something out of a magazine, or like the Greek statues at the museums she'd been to for tedious fundraisers. Bronzed skin covered sculpted muscles with a dusting of hair leading down into his pants—which, oh Christ, were coming off as well! She closed her eyes a moment, and then couldn't help herself and had to peek. So much for wondering whether he was going to keep on his underwear as he wasn't wearing any. He seemed completely comfortable in his nakedness, and when he bent over to neatly place his clothes on the rock she had to clench her hands to restrain from reaching out to that tight ass. Jeez, you could market that! He turned back to meet her gaze and her cheeks flamed at the knowing amusement in his eyes. Before her fuddled brain could even start to think of something to say, he leaned forward and brushed a quick, hard kiss across her lips.
"Don't worry. You have the exact same effect on me," he whispered to her and then stepped back. "See you in there," he told her with a grin, before turning and jumping off the rock straight into the shining water.

Accidentally Wolf

Accidentally Wolf by Elle BoonAccidentally Wolf
Synopsis
For veterinarian Cora Welch, being bitten by a young injured wolf wasn’t the best day of her life, nor the raging fever that followed. However, finding herself faced with a naked man proved even more than she had ever bargained for. Zayn couldn’t believe what his inner wolf was telling him when he first saw the human doctor Cora, standing in nothing but a towel. The last thing he wanted was a mate, especially an accidental one. And at a time when danger seemed to be coming at the Mystic Pack from an unknown source, it just wasn’t in his plans. All he had to do was get Cora through the fever, keep her safe from the other pack, and keep his fangs to himself. But nobody told him he’d have to fight a mating urge so strong within himself, that it was a losing battle. Now, he has to explain to Cora that he accidentally marked her for a second time, making her just like him. Cora knew something was not right in her world the moment she wanted to climb her rescuer like a tree. Hearing Zayn tell her she was now a werewolf, like him and his pack, she realized she now had a home. If her new mate still wanted her after he heard about her family, Cora knew she’d be happy to be an accidental wolf.

No stranger to touching herself, Cora needed relief. For every beat of her heart, she felt an echo between her legs. She sucked two fingers into her mouth and swirled her tongue around each digit before reaching under her lace briefs. Her body jerked as she unerringly touched her swollen clit.

“Oh, yes,” she whispered. Trailing her fingers down farther, she gathered more of her own juices and rubbed in small circles, not wanting to come too quick. A male groan shattered the otherwise silent room. Cora stilled her fingers, and her head turned toward the hallway leading to the bedrooms.
Standing in a pair of loose sweats was Zayn. His eyes seemed to glow from the moonlight shining through the huge picture window, but his gaze didn’t meet hers. No, they were focused on where her fingers were. Instead of being embarrassed, she decided to give him a show.

With her free hand, she pushed the lacy fabric down, exposing what she was doing to his rapt attention. She used one hand to open herself up, showing him how wet she was, then retraced her fingers to her opening, plunging two fingers into her pussy. She couldn’t hold back the cry from how good it felt to be filled by anything, even her own fingers. Her eyes slid closed, unable to watch to see if he enjoyed the show. She pumped in and out with one hand, using the heel to rub her clit.

“Fuck,” she panted. She was on the edge of orgasm when her hand was removed to be replaced by Zayn’s tongue. “What are you doing?” Cora asked, near the edge. “You taste so good.” Even though he didn’t answer, she didn’t care. She wanted to come. God, when was the last time she needed to come this badly? She ran her hand through his hair, amazed at how soft it was. “Don’t stop, please, don’t stop.” A rumble was her answer, and then he pressed two of his fingers into her. She forgot all about his hair or hers. She was all about sensation. She screamed as she came harder than she’d ever come in her life, but it wasn’t enough. She wanted, no, she needed, more than his fingers filling her.

“Zayn, I need you. Please, please, don’t leave me. I’m begging you to fuck me. Now.” In the bright light of the day, she knew she was going to kick her own ass for the whining and begging, but at that moment she didn’t care. Her body was like a living flame, ready to burst into a million pieces if he didn’t fuck her.

“You don’t know what you’re asking. It’s just the fever. Here, let me take care of you.” When Zayn rubbed his fingers on her oversensitive clit, Cora tried to pull away. With strength that shocked her, she flipped their positions, sitting astride Zayn with only a thin pair of sweats separating their bodies. She grabbed the hem of her tank and jerked it above her head, loving the way his blue eyes riveted to her breasts. Her nipples had always been sensitive to the touch, but with his gaze tracking her fingers as she pinched them into tighter points, they became hard peaks. She ground her wet core against his extremely hard erection, an erection that would’ve scared her if she was in her right mind, but she was hornier than she’d ever been.

“If you don’t want to take care of me, then I will just go out and find me another man who wants me, Zayn.” With each word she rubbed up and down his shaft. He growled and reversed their positions so fast her head swam.

“Mine,” he growled. The deep rumble had her pussy quivering in need. The impatient way he shoved his sweats down and kicked them off had excitement flooding her system. The vision of a naked and erect Zayn made Cora wetter, if that was even possible. She spread her legs wider in a display of wanton need.

“Then take me, Zayn.” She wasn’t sure what she’d expected. Being flipped on her stomach and onto her hands and knees wasn’t it. Again, she didn’t care as long as he filled her. The sound of foil ripping open almost made her whimper at the loss. She wanted to have his seed bathing her insides and shook her head. “Are you changing your mind?” Cora looked over her shoulder.

“What? No, hurry for the love of God.” With that, Zayn wasted no time, and for that Cora was pleased. If she had more time to think on her irrational thoughts, she wasn’t sure she’d have wanted to continue. Of course that was before he began. Zayn surged into her in one thrust, filling her to the point of pain.

“Damn, you’re so fucking tight. Don’t move.” That was a truly laughable thing for him to say. Cora felt like someone had shoved a two by ten into her. She literally froze, hoping he’d back out slowly without ripping her in half. Her arms shook from the strain of holding herself up. How long would it take for him to go soft and get out?

“I’m sorry I hurt you. Just hold still. Your body will adjust,” he grunted.

“You’re not the one with a fucking baseball bat shoved up your hoo-ha.”

Zayn laughed. “Relax, baby. I promise to make you feel good.” He reached between their bodies and touched Cora’s clit, but she jerked away.

“Don’t do that, honey.”

The endearment made Cora feel special and eased some of her tension even though she knew it was silly.

“That’s it.” Zayn strummed her clit.

He turned, electric blue eyes flashing. “Come? Sit? Little girl, I am not a dog you teach to do tricks.”

“Oh I don’t know. I think you know all kinds of cool tricks.” She winked. He stalked towards her.

“Now you want to talk all sexual? Baby, you are playing with fire.”

“If you answer my questions, I’ll reward you.”

“Fine,” he sighed. He was so cute she leaned forward and kissed him, just a light brush of her lips over his.

She blinked up at him when he just sat there. “I’m waiting.”

“I thought you were kissing me.” He tried to deepen the kiss.

Cora pulled back. “Let’s do this like a game. Do you like games?” She sucked his top lip into her mouth. Dressed in a pair of borrowed sweats that had belonged to Niall’s mate and one of Zayn’s T-shirts, Cora smiled.

His eyes narrowed. “Why am I a little scared?”

“Is the big bad wolf scared of little ole me?” Cora leaned back into the soft cushions with one knee bent, the other with her foot planted on the floor. “For every answer you give me, I’ll take off a piece of clothing. Once I’m down to the skin, you can have your wicked way with me.” For Cora it really was a win-win situation.

Zayn moved closer so their knees were touching. “Think of something, anything.”

Keeping the image of her imaginary wall firmly in place, she kept her naughtiest thoughts behind it. However, the things she pictured made her nipples hard and had a flush covering her pale skin.

“Damn it, that’s not fair. You’re thinking of sex. You can’t think of sex,” he growled. She slapped his thigh. “You could read my thoughts still?”

“No, your body told on you. I couldn’t read or see a thing. Now off with something.” Zayn waggled his eyebrows.

Cora looked down at her bare feet, chewed on her bottom lip, and then decided to take the oversized top off. She still had her bra on, much to Zayn’s dismay. The borrowed T-shirt dropped between them soundlessly. She watched Zayn look at the white T, then her chest, and back again.

He bared his teeth in a grimace, and then knocked it off their legs. “No fair. Girls wear too many clothes.” His eyes however gleamed with appreciation. She took a breath. “How will I know how to picture my wolf?”

That was a question that really bothered her. “While you were out, I texted my mom. She says for you to picture a smaller version of a dark brown wolf. Your wolf is inside you and will know what it needs to look like. However, she…ah…she said the first time for a turned werewolf isn’t the same as for us born.” She waited, and when it didn’t seem like he was going to go on, she waved her hands.

“And?” Zayn raised an eyebrow.

“I answered a question. I’m waiting for my reward.” He sat back and crossed his arms. Oh, he was so going to pay. She reached behind her, pretended she couldn’t quite get the catch of her bra to come undone. “Can you help me?” As she turned to give him her back, she accidentally brushed the bulge straining the front of his sweats with her palm and pretended not to notice his swift intake of breath.

 * * * *

Zayn loved the way his mate wanted to play with him. Wolves as a whole were a playful lot, unless their families were attacked. He shook off the fear and anger, not letting anything intrude upon the game Cora had begun. After he unhooked the bra, he helped her remove the article of clothing, tossing it behind him, accidentally brushing her nipples. Cora rolled her eyes and shook her head like he was a petulant child.

“So what did she say was the difference?” “She said because you are already a full grown adult you shouldn’t trip over your paws. Our young tend to stumble just like toddlers do when they first learn to walk.” He watched her mouth drop open, and then her small body launched forward, knocking him on his back. Zayn caught her arms to her side. Her laughing and calling him names amused him like nothing ever had. Yes, he’d played with his brother and Jett when they were cubs, and he loved playing with the kids of the pack. But wrestling with a half-naked Cora was on a different level completely. He’d had lots of sex, more than he cared to admit. Not that he was ever callous or didn’t make the women feel important, but they hadn’t been his mate. The bond between him and Cora was like a living breathing thing he never wanted to do without.

“You cheated. Now you have to take something off.” Cora rested with her elbows on his chest, staring at him in earnest.

“Since you seem to be making up these rules, is there a certain item I need to take off or is it my choice.” She tapped her finger on her chin. “I say a shirt for a shirt.”

Author Bio I’m a wife and mother who is a retired stay at home mom of 2. I say retired because my youngest is 14 and my oldest is 20. When my baby went to school, reading saved my sanity, and then the same year he started school, I was diagnosed with Cancer, again reading saved my sanity. When I recovered and realized how quickly life could change, I made a bucket list. The number one thing was to live. Check. On top of that list was to become a published author. Check. Eight years later I have accomplished that goal and several others. I live in the Midwest, but I”m a southern girl with only a slight twang who says y’all quite frequently, and am known to say “Bless Your Heart” A LOT. If you know what that means, you do not want to be the one I say that to, lol. I cuss worse than if a trucker and a sailor were put together, but I do it with class *WEG*. I write what I love to read, erotic romance. My books are definitely full of lots of story, but I leave nothing to the imagination in or out of the bedroom. My hope is that after readers have read one of my stories, they fall in love with the characters as much as I have. The best part of my new journey is that I get to create new worlds, and have all kinds of stories in my head just waiting to be written. I truly love to hear from readers.
