Kelliea
Ashley lives near the Canadian Border in upstate New York with her husband, a
cat named Copperkitty, a dog named Sammy, and several fish, who do not have
names and are very lucky her husband feeds them.
A
Jill-of-many-trades, she likes to incorporate her experiences from various jobs
in her writing. She has been a nurse's aide, a news reporter, a radio
personality, a dairy farmer, and a pharmacy technician to name a few. Though
she didn't enjoy every job, she did take something important from each and
every one of them.
Kelliea
grew up an only child with a devoted single mother. She looked at books as
companions and writing as a favorite escape. She has always been a bookworm who
steadfastly refused to give up her paperbacks until her loving hubby bought her
a Kindle for Christmas. Secretly she still adores the smell of a well-read
book, but sh… don’t tell her husband.
She
has a habit in the form of chocolate and loves a glass of sweet red wine.
Romance has always been her favorite genre because she sees the miracle and
magic in finding ones’ true love.
1.
How did you start writing erotic romance?
I started reading romance novels and found a love for writing them.
2. Plotter or pantster?
I am definitely not a plotter, but as far as my series, Sisters of Fate, goes I had to do a bit of plotting. My characters make it difficult to plan out their stories. Just when I think I have it down, they do something to mess up my plot, but usually for the better.
3. What are three things you have on your writing desk?
Besides my laptop, you mean. Let's see usually a box of thumb drives, a coffee cup or wine glass, depending on the time of day and my preference, and my Kindle. You would be surprised how many times I use my Kindle to look things up.
4. Favorite food?
Pork chops and home-made mac 'n cheese.
5. Tell us a little about your new release. What character in the book really spoke to you?
Rissalynn Jennings. She is a young Witch, daughter of the High Priest and promised by him to a man she doesn't love. Rebellious and stubborn, she seeks an escape and finds an enemy whom she falls for.
6. I write because ____... I write because I feel compelled to do so. It's kind of like an obsession to find the Happily Ever After for my fictional peeps.
7. What is your favorite type of character to write about?
I really love shifters who struggle with their inner beast and primitive impulses.
8. What is the sexiest scene you ever wrote?
I don't know if it is the sexiest scene I've written, but I really love the scene in Enemy Mine where Rissa and Travis get intimate waist deep in a river beneath the full moon. Definitely romantic and magical.
9. What advice would you give new authors in the erotica/romance field?
It is not just about sex. Try to make your characters likable and relatable. Give them some obstacles to overcome that make their HEA even sweeter.
10. What is next on your writerly horizon?
I have a Christmas release coming out from Breathless Press titled, Mistletoe Magic. I'm currently working on Book #3 Holding the Beta for my Sisters of Fate series, a contemporary romance, and a covert story in the works for BP.

Witches and
Guardians are mortal enemies, but when Rissalynn finds herself Travis Holt's
target fighting him is the last thing she wants to do.
Rissalynn
Jennings is a Witch promised to a Warlock she doesn't want. When she goes to a
secluded cabin to hide from her upcoming nuptials, she receives an unexpected
visitor. The Guardian is her mortal enemy, blood-bound to kill her kind. She
never expected to feel an undeniable attraction for Travis Holt, but one touch
on a moonlit night is all she needs to know she belongs in his arms.
Travis has
carried a gut-deep hatred for all Witches since the deaths of his parents. He
joined the Guardians of the Light in order to annihilate their evil and cleanse
the earth of their blood. He sought out the Witch with subterfuge and treachery
on his mind, but after he's tasted her lips will he be able to take her life
when the opportunity presents itself?
Enemy Mine Excerpt
His
solid shoulders flexed beneath her hands, sending a jolt of physical awareness
through Rissa that she didn't fully understand. She found herself caught in his
dark eyes, as if she might drowned in the sweet depths of his soul. He was
stronger than she'd given him credit for. She'd taunted him as a means of
pushing him to reveal his true self and his plan to destroy her. She hadn't
counted on him being bold enough to take her teasing as a challenge to his
manhood. There was no doubt about his virile prowess with the hard length of
manhood pressing against her lower belly. Rissa swallowed a moan as a tingling
sensation preceded a delicious throbbing between her legs.
Holt's
masculine grin sent a shiver down her spine in a mixed reaction of fear and
excitement. She'd come to the mountains to escape her future, and the Goddess,
in her divine wisdom, was throwing a strong vibrant male in her path. She
wondered if he was the answer to her prayers or the end of her torment. Life or
death, the path would be something she would not regret later.
"The
tempting vixen is suddenly without words?" Small lines crinkled at the
corners of his eyes as he stared down at her. Rissa found him devastatingly
handsome, and though he was also disgustingly arrogant, his quit-witted
repartee and blatant sexuality made him impossible to dismiss. A ride with this
man would definitely be all kinds of hot, sweaty fun, leaving him worlds away
from her intended groom. Her heart nearly broke as she could almost see the
invisible binds of her family's expectations wrapping around her, binding her
to a life that would surely leave her an empty shell of misery. They wanted her
to marry for breeding and bloodlines, but it went against every dream she
carried with her of finding the other half of her soul.
Rissa
experimentally moved her hands down over his warm shoulders, her eyes watching
her hands as her palms smoothed over hard muscles and rough skin to land on his
firm chest. Beneath her left palm his heart beat a quick, fierce rhythm of
life. Her fingers trembled as she stared at her hands resting on his naked
flesh. He was real, he was a promise of rebirth, and he may be her enemy, but
Travis Holt's caress touched her down deep in her soul, where she had always
followed. Slowly, she raised her head, her eyes locking with his. She felt the
strings attempting to bind them together and chose her path with a heavy
breath.
"Do
I tempt you, Mr. Holt?" His eyes dilated as his hands clenched on her trim
waist. "Be tempted. Kiss me." She demanded with a confidence that
built within her as his heart hammered against her palm in an accelerated beat.
"I
don't think that would be wise. I don't even know your name." His jaw
clenched as her nails lightly scored his chest.
"I
am Rissa Jennings." She whispered as she reached up to thrust her hand in
his hair to pull him down to her. Their lips brushed lightly, a testing kiss
that had her blood singing through her veins with a magical call that she could
not ignore.
