Pantster – I usually know how my stories will start and end,

1. What do you love about alpha males?
The air of assuredness without being an asshole. A gentle alpha
male knows he’s in control and doesn’t have to flap about making sure that
everyone else knows – if they don’t, they’ll figure it out soon enough. And if
they still don’t know, he doesn’t really care. He’s very secure in himself,
which is incredibly sexy.
2. What makes a perfect mate in your opinion?
The ability to make you laugh. There’s only so much sex you
can have in a day, a job can be lost when an employer decides to shift
positions overseas, and everyone gets wrinkly in the end. But if you can sit
there and laugh like a drain while your mate channels (in my husband’s case)
John Cleese, you know you’ve got a keeper.
3. Name your favorite place for a getaway after a day of
writing.
The movies, usually. It’s nice to be able to turn off the
writer brain and just enjoy someone else’s work for a change.
4. Sushi or burgers?
Ooh, make it difficult for me. It really depends on how I’m
feeling at the moment – sometimes I will cheerfully climb over people to get to
a good crab roll, and other times all I want is a Whataburger.
5. Plotter or pantster?
I started off as a pantster, but as I get more and more into
novels and novel series I find that I have to be a plotter because something
that happens in Act One will have a major effect in Act Three (or Book One in
Book Three). The nice thing about working the plot out beforehand is that you
know you don’t have to stick to it if you don’t want to – it’s a guideline, not
a tram track. And it makes writing the synopsis much, much easier when it comes
time to submit the book.
