Ground Zero by Nicholas Ryan
“This is exactly the kind of intelligent, action-packed zombie thriller that fans of DJ Molles and Max Brooks will love!”
- ZombieBookBlog
Aboard a freighter bound for Baltimore harbor, an Iranian terrorist prepares to unleash an unimaginable horror upon the United States. The ‘Wrath’ is an undead plague – an infection that consumes its victims with a maddening rage and turns them into mindless blood-thirsty killers.
Jack Cutter is just an ordinary guy dealing with a dreadful guilt when the virus tears through his home town. Before it’s too late, Cutter will have to find a way to survive, and find a reason fight:
HIS REDEMPTION.
This is a different kind of post for most of our readers, but when author Vivien Sparx told me about Ground Zero, I knew I had to read it and let everyone know about it. If you love The Walking Dead, World War Z or are a fan of Jonathan Maberry, you need to read this book. It is a zombie apocalypse tale with a truly original twist. Taking current politics into the mix, this tale takes the slant of a viral terrorism event that is aimed at enemies of Islam, namely the United States. When a terrorist infects himself and the plague is unleashed on America, it does not stop until every man, woman and child has fallen victim in some way. Hero Jack Cutter will have to find a way to fight for what's his and try to survive the destruction of everything he has ever known.
The cool thing about this book is the hero is a flawed character, just like the rest of us. He is no superman leaping tall buildings, but a man wracked with guilt trying to make amends. How do you do that when the world is coming down around your ears and your neighbors are trying to eat you? Not easy. But...he does it. A great book!
I enjoyed this book. It was well written, with a plot that moves forward at a steady pace. The gore is done just right, with an edge of suspense that kept me turning the pages into the night. Ah, what a perfect book to read while waiting (with baited breath) for The Walking Dead to start up next month. I am hoping there will be a continuation of the book, as the ending drops down and kind of leaves you wanting more. I can survive (maybe) if I know ( Okay Nicholas, this is your cue to jump in any time now and throw us a bone here!) that there is another one of these babies on the way...

Lust Plague: Hot and Sexy Zombies

Amazon
Saving the world should be easier. When airship captain Kaysana meets Sten the last thing she wants to do is have mad rough sex with him while bound by ropes and clamps…but fate pencils in their appointment. The lust plague strikes. From her infected crew, zombies arise.
With her ship gone, she must rely on Sten, a human clone, a man who has fought all his life to master himself. She despises his kind and detests Sten’s growing hold on her. Though he never takes no for an answer, surely it’s the plague that makes yes slip from her tongue like melted butter? Or should she blame her own traitorous heart?
Hordes of slavering zombies await them. Sten and Kaysana unlimber weapons, don goggles, and set a course for the origin of the plague. Yet victory will be hollow if they cannot also solve the puzzle of their hearts.
This journey into the Steamwork Chronicles, book two is a passage into a lust ridden zombie plague that morphs into something a lot more dire. First you go crazy sexually and then the blood lust comes. When the book opened up, I was sucked right into the vortex of feeling. Author Cari Silverwood can turn a phrase and if you don't have a whole lot of lust in your heart after reading this book then you must be one of the undead yourself. lol.
When the main character is paired with a frankenstruct male, she fights the inner urges that make her lust for him so completely. Sensuous, delightful and in turns frightening, this world is not for the faint of heart.
The dialogue is effortless, the BDSM elements will rock your world and the fear that comes with a zombie plague adds a new level of ferocity that drives this plot forward at a fevered pace. I loved this book!
