Synopsis

Orion is a vampire with a tragic past. After running away from abusive parents at the tender age of sixteen, he was turned by a ruthless elder vampire and forced to torture and sexually abuse human feeders and submissive vampires. Though that's all behind him now, he still lives in the shadow of what he was, and it's cost him the loyalty of Xavier, the human feeder he loves. Malagan is Orion's closest friend--the vampire who saved him from brutality all those years ago. Malagan knows the dominant side of Orion--the side Xavier needs--is still there, lurking below the surface. But if Orion's going to find his way back to who he ought to be, he'll need help. And Malagan is just the man for the job. Previously published by Breathless Press.

Excerpt

Freak. The word went straight to Orion's guts and set a shiver of hatred running up his spine. He pushed his shoulders back and stood taller, towering over Clay, but to no effect. Clay didn't back down, didn't turn away, didn't show one single sign of submitting. Clay laughed and snapped his fingers in Orion's face. "Look at you. Size of a fucking giant, but the balls of a three year old. You've got no spine, Orion. You're nothing but a simpering weakling who hides behind Malagan." He turned away and moved to the bar. "Don't turn your back on me," Orion warned, tempting fate. "Why not?" Clay called over his shoulder. "What are you going to do about it? You going to beat me senseless and take what you want? That's what you were good at, wasn't it? Why don't you come over here and try it, freak? That's right, come on over here. I won't even turn around. I'll let you have the first hit. That's all you need. Just that first hit to get you going. And then you'll bloody me up, right?" "I'll do what I must to get Xavier away from you." Orion took a deep breath and stood his ground, unmoving. He wasn't about to back away, but he wouldn’t do anything rash either. Clay rounded on Orion and smirked. "You don't have the guts." The door opened behind them, and Orion turned to see Malagan standing in the opening. Elation and anger warred within him. He wanted to smile and gloat to Clay that now things would go his way, but another part of him hated Malagan for showing up, for stealing his thunder. For proving Clay right. "He may not," Malagan murmured. "But I do." He swiveled his head to look at Orion, sent a knowing, compassionate look Orion's way. "Xavier and I will meet you back at the lair." Heart pounding, Orion swallowed his pride and nodded. He left Clay's house, the sounds of breaking glass and Clay's yelling echoing down the path. He stopped at his car and turned back toward the house. This wasn't Malagan's fight -- Malagan hadn't started it, after all, and Malagan shouldn't be the one finishing it. Orion took three steps up the path and froze as his guts knotted up and a wave of nausea assaulted him. Gagging, he pressed the back of his hand to his mouth and stumbled back, colliding with the front of the car. Frustration tore at him. Self-loathing and worthlessness wrapped their claws around him and pulled him under. Orion whirled and brought both fists crashing down onto the hood of his car. Again and again, until he'd left a bloody dent. Exhausted, lightheaded, he straightened and choked on a throat full of tears as he ran his fingers over the ruined hood. Why did he break everything he touched?

Book Blurb

After his last long-term relationship ended because of his nightmares, Mark closed his heart to the possibility of finding love again. He's certainly never considered Gabe, the orderly who works at Miller's Retirement Home where his father lives. But there's more to Gabe than meets the eye, and if Mark is willing to let Gabe in, he might just discover the most important buried treasure of all.

Excerpt
"Don't you have work to do?" The words came out clipped and terse. Mark regretted sounding rude, but he wasn't in the mood for company, at least not anymore.
"I'm on my lunch break."
Mark frowned. No way in hell would he stay at his work when he didn't need to. "You hang around this place on your lunch?"
Gabe shuffled his feet. "I like my job. And anyhow, I was actually hoping to catch up with you today."
"Why?" The tiny hairs on the back of Mark's neck stood up. "Something wrong with dad?"
"No." Gabe shook his head quickly. "Nothing like that. I just wanted to ask you out for a cup of coffee."
Mark cocked his head, studying Gabe's appearance for the first time. Usually dressed in a drab navy blue shirt and matching slacks, Gabe was wearing a brightly colored, close fitting Hawaiian shirt with black pants that, if Mark didn't miss his guess, were brand new. And Gabe had said he'd been hoping to catch up with Mark.
He'd known Gabe ever since he'd moved his dad into Miller's, but he'd never considered Gabe date-material, though at the moment, he couldn't say why. Over the course of hundreds of conversations, he'd learned they had a lot in common -- from their love of the Pittsburgh Steelers, to their mutual admiration for mystery novels, to preferring pineapple and ham on their pizzas. "Are you asking me out on a date?"
"I'm trying to." Gabe blushed and looked away. "Unless there's someone. I haven't seen you with anyone, since the last time Donald came."
Mark shook his head. "There isn't anyone."
"You dumped Donald?"
Was that a trace of happiness Mark detected in Gabe's tone? "He dumped me, said dad was too much stress for him." He didn't like lying, but the real reason for his broken relationship was far too embarrassing. He dumped me because I'm a mental case just didn't have a positive ring.
"What the hell?" Gabe wrinkled his forehead. "He's your dad, not Donald's."
"Yeah, well." Donald had been a big mistake, and remained a subject Mark didn't want to discuss. "How long's your lunch break?"

Synopsis

Two years after he lost his soulmate to the war, Faldor still pines for Meldrick. His world is turned upside down when Meldrick appears on his doorstep late one night, seemingly back from the dead. Finally escaped from a prison camp, Meldrick protects a dark secret--one that could rip his rekindled love apart if Faldor ever learned the truth. But the longer they're together, the more things just don't add up. What really happened two years ago? How did Meldrick escape the prison camp after so long? Is Meldrick still the man Faldor
fell in love with? Can Meldrick reconcile who he has become with who he was, and move beyond his treachery, or will betrayal win? Previously published by Breathless Press

Excerpt
Faldor frowned. What had moved him to invite Yanek to his house for dinner—and, indeed, how he'd forgotten the damned invitation—he didn't know. But he regretted it. He focused on his food—a fine tarkin stew, even if he did say so himself—and tried to make interested noises at all the appropriate moments while Yanek prattled on.
Not that it would've mattered if he hadn't. Yanek loved nothing more than the sound of his own voice. The elf was easily the most vain, self-centered, and singularly annoying person Faldor had ever had the misfortune to meet. His constant bids for Faldor's attention and attempts to win himself a place in Faldor's bed didn't endear him to the healer, either. Still, bad company was better than none on a lonely night like this. Especially after the forest earlier.
"What happened in the forest today?" Yanek asked, as if reading his mind.
Faldor glanced up at him. "Nothing."
"That's not what Sir Nomah said. I heard he and the men had to pluck you from the midst of the trees." Yanek made a grabbing gesture with his right hand and laughed.
"No one plucked me from anywhere," Faldor growled. "Nothing happened."
"What drove you in there in the first place?"
Faldor met the elf's gaze, raised his eyebrow. "Why does it matter?"
Yanek shrugged and lifted a forkful of dinner to his mouth. He chewed and swallowed, then shrugged again. "One of the men said he thought he heard you call Meldrick's name."
Faldor glared, irrationally angry Yanek had dared to speak his lover's name. "Meldrick is dead. Why would I call out his name?"
"You tell me."
"There's nothing to tell." He cut into a piece of meat and stabbed it up.
"If you suspect—"
"Drop it."
Yanek stared, mouth agape, for several seconds, then pursed his lips together into a thin line. "His body was never found," he said quietly. "There are prison camps."
Faldor looked up at him. "What do you know of the camps?" Ogre camps were rumored to exist, but no one had ever found one.
Yanek paled and shook his head, fumbling with his utensils. "Nothing. Nothing more than anyone else does."
How true the elf's words were, Faldor didn't know. He suspected, though, that Yanek had more knowledge than he admitted. Was it possible Yanek had been withholding information from him all these years? Faldor sat back and folded his arms across his chest. "Nothing more than anyone else, hmm? That's good to know. I'd hate to learn a trusted comrade had kept the secret of the king's own favored knight's whereabouts to himself. For three years. Such would not sit well with his majesty."

Best Laid Plans Tour and Giveaway

Synopsis

Disowned by his family for being transgender, Kale drained his bank account and set out to go as far as the money would take him. He planned to make a new life for himself. But when the money stopped, he found himself homeless, his plans pretty much screwed.

Perry set out to pay a male hooker to slake his lust. Instead he found a handsome young man who insisted he wasn't a prostitute. A little bit of convincing, a flash of money, and one random Tuesday turned into once a week, and Perry found himself in dangerous territory. After all, the plan wasn't to fall in love. Previously published by Breathless Press.

Excerpt
Kale peered into the car without getting any closer. He didn't recognize the older man behind the steering wheel, didn't really know anyone in this town yet. "Can I help you with something?"
"Probably." The guy grinned. "How much for a blowjob?"
A fiery blush steamed up Kale's neck. "Oh. I'm not um..." He glanced down at his clothing—red button-up shirt, jeans, boots. He wasn't dressed like a hooker, was he? Then again, what did male hookers dress like?
"Fifty bucks?" the guy asked.
"No, you don't understand." Kale shook his head. "I'm not um...working. I'm just..." Just what? Just a runaway disappointment.
"Fine. Make it a hundred. C'mon. Get in."
His eyes went wide. A hundred dollars? For a blowjob? A hundred dollars would get him a room at a motel and a meal for the night. And a blowjob wouldn't take all that long. But he'd never done anything like that before with a stranger. The guy looked pretty clean. How bad could it be? Just a few minutes' work, turn his head, spit, and take the money. "I don't swallow," he blurted.
The guy shrugged. "I don't care."
The words hit Kale with full force. The guy didn't care. Not about him, his story, why he was out here on the streets in the first place. Not about his past, present, or future. Not about anything beyond his mouth. Kale frowned.
"You coming or not?" the guy prompted.
"Show me the money."
He held up a hundred dollar bill.
If the guy would pay a hundred dollars for a blowjob, how much would he pay for something else? But Kale had seen way too many Lifetime movies about runaways-turned-prostitutes who got into cars and were never seen again. He puffed out his chest and straightened his shoulders, tried to look like he had some kind of guts. "Okay, but we're not going to a skeevy hotel or your house or anything. Got it?"
The guy shrugged. "Whatever."
Kale looked up and down the street and reached for the door handle. The car, like the guy, looked clean and tidy, smelled nice. He smiled at the green, tree-shaped air freshener hanging from the rearview mirror, and tried not to think of that scene in the movie Seven where the cops found hundreds of the things hanging in the sloth victim's apartment.
