Book Description:

Mary Jane Andrews is what Texans call a pistol. She thinks fast, acts faster, and takes the consequences with a laugh. The year is 1950. Young reporter Mary Jane isn’t sure what SM is, but she’s heard that it’s going on outside Austin, and she’s determined to investigate. Once she meets the Master, she’s both enthralled and scared spitless.

What’s a Master to do when his hotter-than-sin sexual soul mate shows up at the door of his highly illegal sex house? Don’t worry, he has lots of ideas...

Trouble is, Mary Jane wants the story. And the Master won’t spend the rest of his natural life in jail. The sex is explosive, inventive, and addictive, both ways. Will it be bend or break for the insatiable Beauty and the masterful Beast?

Review:

Carole Remy is my hero. She never fails to leave me breathless and filled with longing. Now I want to go and hang out at an S&M club. *sigh* Her characters rock and you can feel every nuance of emotion ricocheting around in Mary Jane's head. From the irritation of her male dominated work situation to the harrowing experiences as she undertakes an adventure that would leave most of us shaking in our designer pumps.

I am still reading this jewel and am loving every second of it! Carol you have outdone yourself with this wonderful book. Now, I am going to go and refill my ice water (again) and go back to my e-reader. Sexy, hot and tons of fun, this read has made my vacation and I think I may just run out of ice. lol.

5/5 for sheer hotness and not wanting to ever sleep when there's a new Remy in the house. Woot! :)

Carole Remy Character Guest Blog for Erzabet's Enchantments

Carole: Thank you so much, Erzabet, for inviting me to your wonderful blog! I brought a friend with me today. She’s the original author of Beauty of the Beast, which is being released on Amazon Kindle tomorrow.

Erzabet: Welcome back, Carole. My readers really enjoyed your guest post on royalty vs self-publishing. What do you have for us today?

Carole: Something totally different. My friend would like to share the story of how she came to write Beauty of the Beast. She also has some insights to share from writing best selling erotica for many years.

Erzabet: Please, tell us all!

Well Erzabet, for the last many years, I've written erotica and you've bought it and I thank you. Yes, I see it there on your shelves! Beauty of the Beast is my last book, and I'm coming out of the literary closet. My real name is Mary Jane Andrews. Yup, the same one—Pulitzer Prize in 1956 and another in 1967. Broke the Steeplegate scandal in 1976. Matriarch of women reporters, though Barbara has been giving me a run for the last few years. Barbara Walters, my dear, she’s a dear friend.

You may wonder why I'm coming out at my age, and I can only answer, why not? My publishers figure that the erotic autobiography of a semi-famous four-foot-six great-grandmother will sell like hotcakes. They want me to go on Oprah. Besides, I get my own way. The politicians called me a battleax when I was forty; and if I want to write this book, hell, I'm going to write it.

I've received many letters asking me how true my books are. Well, really! Did you ever try to get into some of the positions I've described? If you attempted the couplings in Taming of the Hugh, you're probably still in traction. Of course the emotions are real, or the books wouldn't be fun; but no, I have never hung upside down from a trapeze eating grapes with a ripe banana hanging out of my private parts.

This book is different because every word in it is true. When you get older, the past gets more vivid, and Beauty of the Beast is my past, mine and my husband's. If you don't know who my husband is, I won't spill the beans. You can have fun trying to guess. Don't worry, I spell it out in the epilogue.

We fell in love under unusual circumstances, a sort of 1950s Beauty and the Beast. I of course was the Beauty. If you've seen the cover of Andrews Distilled, you know that I was once quite attractive. My husband says I still am, bless him. Beauty of the Beast is the story of how we met, and yes, it is erotic. We have enjoyed a lot of sex over the last forty-five years, and a lot of laughs, too. Feel free to put your copy in a plain brown wrapper, if you choose.

Oh yes. You have Kindles now, don’t you? How convenient! My story begins in Austin, Texas, at the city desk of the American-Statesman. But that's Chapter One, and you’ll have to buy the book to read the rest of the story.

Erzabet: That’s quite a story, Miss Andrews. Now that you mention it, I do know who your husband...

Mary Jane: Don’t say his name, dear. I want it to be a surprise for the readers. Thank you for inviting me today. You have a lovely blog, and I’ve enjoyed our little visit.

Erzabet: You are a unique visitor, Ms Andrews. Please, come back any time. Um, you too, Carole, please.

Carole: It’s okay, Erzabet. She always upstages me. With great love, of course! Let’s go, Ms. Andrews. I think the limo is here.

Beauty of the Beast goes on sale tomorrow on Amazon Kindle for only $3.99. It sounds like an amazing book, and I hope you’ll buy it. If you’d like to chat with Carole or Mary Jane, leave a comment. They’ll be stopping by again later to respond.

***Leave a comment and your email for a chance to win a copy of the book! Come on! You know you want to!

Book Description:

$120,000 + Expenses: Rich man wants companion for 12 nights. Attractive normal female. Never married. No children. Over 30 years old. No prostitutes. Reply to box 74716.

Jimmy is a lonely, horny half-billionaire. Too busy for a girlfriend, his appetite for sex is as insatiable as his drive for business success. Twelve nights of hot and sexy fun sounds like the perfect Christmas present to himself.

Angela and Aggie are stunning identical twins, one a call girl and the other a librarian. If only Aggie will do the sweet-and-innocent interview, Angela is sure she can earn the fortune between the sheets.

Trouble is, nothing goes according to plan. Aggie actually LIKES Jimmy, and hates the idea of Angela having sex with him almost as much as she hates the idea of prostituting herself! But Angela is desperate for the money. Jimmy and his hard nosed lawyer Richard are suspicious, and before long, the two friends are convinced they’re in lust with the same maddeningly hot woman!

If you like a little mayhem with your sex, and you think laughing is erotic, hop on for a rollicking, bawdy ride. It’ll all be over in a sizzling, short Twelve Nights. How fast can these four sort out who loves who? Will the romance end before it even starts?

When I opened up this book, I had no way of knowing I would not be sleeping the rest of the night. The stage author Carol Remy sets for this amazingly raw opening scene had me in angry tears and I wanted to beat the guy senseless. The rest of the novel was smooth, with characters I could grow to love and care about. Every scene is lovingly rendered and you just can't help but fall in feet first.
Guest post:

Thank you so much, Erzabet, for hosting my novels Twelve Nights and Who Is Candid?! I enjoy looking for fun novels here on your blog, and am thrilled to be included! Here’s a brief look at my experiences as a novelist.

Self-Publish or Royalty?

Several of my novels were first published in print format with royalty publishers. When I got the rights back, I decided to bring out the e-books myself. Why?

Royalty publishing has some advantages, mainly from the sense of having a partner and the confidence that someone objective believes in your writing. It also distances the writer from sales statistics. It’s hard to obsess about a royalty statement that comes in the mail every six months. Online sales have changed that, but the optimistic writer can still imagine physical bookstores everywhere selling their novels like hotcakes!

The downside of royalty publishing for me was the money, which seems to get eaten up by everyone but the writer! My first two novels made $120,000 gross, of which I received $6000. Yep, that’s the standard author percentage for a paperback. Somebody made $114,000, but it wasn’t me!

Why self-publish the novels as e-books? First, I’m lucky enough to have been royalty published first, so I know that somebody out there, 20,000 reader somebodies plus two publishers, likes my writing. Doing it all on my own felt daunting, and I was again lucky in that my daughter offered technical help, and a wonderful assistant helps with the day to day. There’s also amazing online support available for writers these days. Where would I be without Roxanne and Bewitching Book Tours?

Banishing the numbers anxiety—sales, tweets, follows, friends, etc—has been my biggest challenge. Put simply, I realized that every number represents a person, and when I think of the people instead of the totals, I relax and enjoy every connection! I wrote about letting go of anxiety in a post on my blog.

I haven’t written anything about Twelve Nights and Who Is Candid? here, oops. Hopefully the promotional materials speak for themselves! I would love for you to read and enjoy my books. If you like a little mayhem with your screaming hot sex, and think laughter is erotic, my Sexy Fun Erotic Novels are for you!

Book Description:

Teaser Description: Lucy, aka Candid, is a naughty girl who takes a sexy fun road trip across America, and tells everybody all about it!

Book Description:

In the spring of 1998, recent graduate Lucy Ralph decides to rebel. The NSA is blocking her job applications, her best friend Dick is a frustrating hunk of gorgeous, and her mother is driving her crazy. Worst of all, she’s still a virgin!
Lucy takes off on a road trip across America, and reinvents herself as 'Candid,' a naughty girl who has sexy fun with just about everybody she meets, and tells the world all about it! Her explicit 'Candid' Internet posts go viral overnight. The National Security Agency, the entertainment media, the paparazzi, and soon the entire nation are on her tail! While she spins a modern day sexual Arabian Nights, she's also being tracked by the sweet, sexy, and elusive Dick, who has his own tricks to play.
Will love ever be more than a virtual reality for Lucy? Can she and Dick get past the friends page? Will exposure ruin everything, if the nation finds out Who Is Candid?
I didn't have too long to read into this great book, but from what I read, it flowed very well and the voice of the character resonates. Hot read with lots of fun character traits I long to explore!
